In Cyprus, snow skiing starts from the beginning of January to the end of March on Mount Olympus, which is only 3 km from Troodos hill resort, and 12 km from Platres.
There are 4 ski lifts . Two of these lifts are installed on the North Face of Mount Olympus. One is 350 and the other 500 metres long respectively.
The other two ski lifts, each 150 metres long are installed at “Sun Valley” south of Olympus.

Nature Walkers can enjoy unforgettable hiking experiences in the many unspoiled areas on the island of Cyprus.
BE SURE to visit the Tourism Office upon reaching the island where you will get for free full details with colourful details on the Nature Trails of the island.
For the AKAMAS Forest:
There are two walking trails. The first one is called SMIGIES Nature Trail, and it is a picnic site that starts and ends at this point and it is 6 km long.
You can choose between two different routes, the short route of 2.5 km and the long one which is 6 km. The walking time varies between 1, 3 to 5 hours according to the route you choose.
The second one is called SMIGIES-PISSOUROMOUTI-AGIOS MINAS- SMIGIES, and has a total length of 3.5 km.
It starts from the village of Kathikas and it is a circular trail of about 2 km length.
The starting and ending point is on PEGEIA- KATHIKAS main road, near Kyparisos restaurant. (Not sign-posted yet).
Early in the morning - 6 a.m you will see many people walking up and down and excercising.
It is something that I love doing when I am at a beach resort as well. People get up so early because after 10 the sun is burning hot and it is dangerous.
You will see people walking again late in the aftrnoon a little before the sun sets.
There are beautiful long beaches on the island, so start dreaming about them!
Equipment: A pair of neakers, a cap and a pair of glasses are what you need.
A good sun tan lotion as well.

Paphos is a great place for watersports. The Coral Bay Beach offers a huge variety of water-sports like scuba diving, jet-skiing, parachuting. There is also a water-theme park somewhere nearby which is open throughout most of the year except the winter.
The Paphos Go Karting center is great fun,it offers a 1600 metre track where you can either have bambino karts, cadet karts, pro karts, super Karts, twin engine or thunder karts. It has a bridge and tunnel track. There is even a childrens track, also there is a cafe, restroom, snack bar and crazy golf for all the family.
We hired a speed boat which was great fun,it costs 5 Cyprus pounds each and we had half an hour, they do special prices if you want the boat for longer and they supply the life jackets. You can find them down at the harbour in Paphos. Its a great way to see some of the Island.
With Cyprus being an Island, it is a great place to do watersports, Paphos. Windsurfing, waterskiing, Sea kayaking or just swimming is the warm Meditarranean Sea
Best Beaches: Coral Bay Beach for fun and activities. Lara Beach for romantic soliture. Petra Tou Romiou…There is nowhere so romantic, especially at sunset. Mandria beach…not many people visiting...
