Kebab

by carina.xxx

It wasn't really a restaurant, but we saw it in the little village of Troodos. The old man was only making porc brochettes on the grill before his trailer. He called it 'special kebab' and it was great. His SPECIAL KEB AB of course ( there was nothing else )

Valentinos: Big let down...

by neilward

Lovely looking place, full of light and colour, many "Smarmy" looking waiters who seemed to swan around the place. It was our last night there,as you can imagine,we wanted another great meal to finish the holiday off.

Michael's Tavern: Delicious local food.

by carol334

If you have a car try to get to Michael's Tavern at Episkopi village for a real local meze. I think this is the most expensive meal on the menu 5cy pounds. It was wonderful, too much to eat. It's a small, local taverna, not particularly for the tourist but wonderful food and they don't rip you off. It is best to book as it is quite small. Don't know the phone no. but they have a web site. www.michaels-tavern.com Meat Meze. Loads to eat. Cooked lovely.

The Garden of Eden.: First of many wonderful meals.

by neilward

We were spoiled with the food on this fantastic Island. The meals we`ve had have been a pleasure to eat,and in some cases, look at,not for too long I add.Again the staff were spot on,with both their knowledge and their etiquette.Theres a wonderful green fountain just as you go in,looks great, really sets the scene for the whole evening. Again, wonderful food, great company, cold beers,no Pina Colada this time !!!we had Ostrich steak with freah vegetables and Mongolian lamb, both were splended and did us in ...Luckily we only had 50 metres to bimble, slowly, back to our hotel.

Stamna Tavern: Oldest house in Ayia Napa

by neilward

Lovely small quaint and full of characture, best describes this place. It was recommended by a taxi driver, sometimes they can be hit and miss, but this time he was spot on. We had various dishes including Shahlik kebabs and other meat dishes,to many to remember....The salads are so fresh and crispy, not just here but throughout the Island.

Pagoda: Fantastic Oriental cuisine

by neilward

We always try to eat where recommended or where the restaurant seems full, for obvious reasons. However this place seemed quite quiet,(NOT EASY TO TYPE !!!)the hostess asked if we`d like to come in and sample her wares !!! OOO ER !!!We were not disappointed, the food was fabulous, very hot and looked very tempting...So we were tempted BIG TIME !!!! I had 6 small pieces of chicken in batter and sweet and sour sauce for a starter,Maria had Crispy Aromatic duck, luckily there was enough for both of us to share. For a main course we had beef in black pepper sauce, and chicken in chilli sauce, all the food was FANTASIC,our taste buds hadnt been treated like that for ...Ooh 2 days !!!!

Roman 1 Hotel: Excellent value

by Jokemor

Must be amongst the best value food in Paphos, each night has a different theme buffet, with local entertainment on some nights at no extra cost. I like most of the buffets, even the carvery night is really good. There is something for everybody.

Zambezi: If in Paphos you must eat here!

by AdamLowe

After dining in various establisments thougout the Paphos area (of which the majority were very good) the Zambezi Restaurant made for an absolutely perfect evening.Following an African flavour the restaurant is found in Kleious Street in Kato Paphos. It is modern, clean and beatifully finished, you may dine outside on the raised veranda or inside if you prefer. It has a broad menu for all tastes, too many excellent dishes to list. Meat eaters in particular will love this place the range here is large and is expertly cooked by Chef/Owner George. His wife Georgina runs the front of house expertly and both engage with their customers to add a real passionate and personal flavour to the experience. Pricing too is very reasonable and I certainly would have paid far more to eat great food in fantastic surroundings. Please give it a try it will be a real find and eaters of all tastes will NOT be...
