Rent a car is a best way to travel Cyprus. I rented Toyota Corolla with AC for 20CYP a day. Seems to me a fair price. Book your car in advance, get a quote from a local rental companies and find your one. The roads are in a good shape, except the mountains, where a sealed road alter with a loose surface road. But if you keep up the major roads, you will find a smooth sealed roads. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

by dedeckerm. We goes always by plane. Why?? Because riding on a camel is not so comfortable There are few public buses and no rail lines. Bus services run within and between towns every day except Sunday. Those between major cities are cheap, frequent and efficient. If you want to travel on a Sunday, you'll need to get a service taxi. They're good for most places in the Republic. It's easy to hire cars and bikes all over the country Taxis are widely available, but often do not have operating seat belts. The Cypriot transportation system is comparable to that of Western Europe. Traffic moves on the left (British style) Leave a Comment Theme: Other

If you want to go around town, you can do that on foot, by city busses (which are quite regular) or by taxi. However, if you wish to go from one city to another and you don't have a car, you only have two options: either take a so-called "service taxi" or a bus. The trouble with the busses is that they go only ONCE a day, usually in the mornings, and the taxis operate untill around 6 pm. So, if you, say, wanted to go from Paphos to Larnaca in the morning and come back late in the evening, you can't do that- you either have to spend the night or rent a car (or you could pay a taxi back, but that would cost you a fortune)! Cyprus is a very small island. I was traveling everywhere. But car - is a most popular ride. There is no metro, trambuses or trolleybuses. Just some local buses for tourists. Each cypriot has his own car. So its better to rent car. But never rent open top car (only some tourists can do that - cypriots never do ), caz its too hot and u cant stay without air conditioner Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by cheekykev Once you get to Cyprus a car is a must to make the most of the off the beaten track places. Pick up a deal at the local car hire firm and you're away. Some prefer jeeps but we went for a little Honda automatic with room for a wheelchair. It took us on night-time fruit gathering expeditions and on day time trips to churches and mountains with Sex Pistols CDs playing...until twelve miles from Ayia Napa it ran out of petrol. We walked miles to get a water bottle filled with petrol...and then did it again before finally getting a tow off the wonderful Pete. So get a car - you get a lot more possibilities besides !
