As probably everyone konws, PRAGUE is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. There are dozens of historical buildings with various architectural styles in a very good state. What to say ? Go to this place and enjoy !!! Downtown area around the famous Charles Bridge is a good start. Just keep in mind that PRAGUE is supposed to be an expensive city (I don't know if still) and it will be difficult for a 'backpacker' to live on a tight budget. One suggestion : to save money with food, eat into a department store restaurant, they are cheap and food is consequent. >>> the first picture shows the beautiful church of Our Lady of Tyn <<<

Moravian Karst area - Punkvas Cave.It is the most important karst area in the central Europe. Four of the canes in that area are opened to public. I visited Punkvas Cave. Moravian Karst area is really place what You should visit when You are In Czech. I remember the exitment when we went through underground spaces and coridors. After part of the walking tour in caves ( beautiful and interesting figures of stalagmites and stalagtites ),followed motorboat ride along the Punkva underground river.

In this house lived Goethe. The boy, Goethe, was a precocious youngster. At the early age of eight he had already acquired some knowledge of Greek, Latin, French and Italian. He had likewise acquired from his mother the knack of story telling; and from a toy puppet show in his nursery his first interest in the stage.

There are some places that words just cannot describe... I believe that Prague is on the top of that list. Walking along the Charles Bridge and listening to the musicians was just so surreal... I was trying to soak in all the spectacular actuality of this place. The history they have lived just shines through the city.

Walk the Charles Bridge at sunset. Full of photographers, small vendors and locals going home from work, it's a definite must-see. In good weather, the entire city should be explored on foot. There are many tiny streets with fun surprises in the way of shops, restaurants, galleries and quaint pubs.

If you take the train down to Karlstein to see the castle you'll have to hang around for while to wait for the train home. What a great setting to have to wait around in, don't you think? There are a ton of little shops along the street to browse if you are the shopping type.

Here's the view from the top of the hill. The church you can see in the centre of the picture is St Nicholas Church which is done in the Baroque style. Within the castle you can visit the Gothic St Vitus Cathedral and then just behind the castle is the Romanesque Basilica of St George. All three major architectural periods in a few hours, not bad!

In Cesky Krumlov, you must see the castle. In Prague you must go for a walking tour! And just outside of Prague you must see the bone church. Getting very drunk and going to a nightclub called House or Music, can't remember which one but it was great fun.
