Arriving around an hour before kick off the place was dead, the beer tasted crap, and there was no bog paper in the mens toilets!. 1drink and a quick exit ending up in Rocky O'Reillys. Just goes to show you cant rely on a well put together website - dont bother theres plenty of better places.

The name may have changed, but definitely 'Deja vu', as nothing remotly had changed since the last time I was here in Oct 04 - and there a cryptic clue in the nightlife heading!. Not a place for the sophisticated by any means, but definitely a hit for me! - Spent a couple of hours here sat at the bar and then low and behold the barman tries to slip me a pint (or should that be half a litre) of slops! - haha was he embarrassed when I pulled him up (I could even understand his cursing in french lol). Ok we moved on but no doubt I will return again. Although this place gets a good crowd, never overpacked even though its just behind the Old Town Square - maybe people find it a little tricky to find - well I do after several drinks!
You must be joking Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingDirections: Close to Old Town Square, through narrow alleyway next to George and Dragon, past Legends and straight in front

The best cocktail bar we have been to in Prague! Located in a narrow and quite dark road (Bartholomejska) you will almost overlook the entrance. There are only very few tourists, the location is quite small. The inside is narrow and dark but the drinks are cheap and the personell is very friendly. It is a place to stay for a couple of hours. After 9 pm you will hardly find a place insinde. They have opened quite long (maybe 3 am or so).
Just as you like. Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: BatholomejskaDirections: Near the metro station Narrodni Trida. Located in the street Bartholomejska (there is also a Police station).

Desperado's is a small but friendly pub located on Hybernska, Praha 1. We came here on our second night in Prague as the Old Town Square was quite expensive to drink there. Desperado's has a large screen for the football fans and also a jukebox where you can pick from thousands of songs from all your favourite artists. The atmosphere of the pub is great, lots of locals go here aswell as foreigners. The bar staff are very friendly too. They would come over to your table and take orders for drinks and bring them over to you. This became our local pub during our stay in Prague, as it was only 2 minutes walk from our hotel (The Tulip Inn) Plus it was very cheap beer too. We paid 180 Czech Korunas for 3 pints of lager and 3 half a pints of lager & a large bag of potato chips when i felt abit peckish. Joe's Cafe is in an excellent location in the heart of Prague in Wenceslas Square. It is a great place to visit and has international standards of service. It is very modern and fresh and great for anyone looking for some good nightlife where you can enjoy a drink and watch tv or listen to some music. It has a luxurious bar and great bar staff who can make up any drink of your choice. There are 2 huge plasma screens inside the cafe too. Food and drink is served here too. See the website for more details. We only had 2 beers here so cant really tell you what the food was like although it did look and smell lovely.

My personal favourite of the Brew Pub category, U Pinkasu is a large place over several floors, with an outside garden to boot. We sat within the typical bar area to the right (where all the beer flows through one guy who works his socks off!) among what looked loike mostly regulars. The beer was great and not overpriced given this is bang in the centre. We liked it so much we stayed here for several hours.

This bar is next to the Harley Davidson boutique in Prague. It is an american style bar, with cool music , and great cocktails. Once you are having a drink you are allowed to write something on their walls,as a sign of your visit.... You should visit this place if you are looking for good music and a nice relaxed atmosphere with good drinks !! Like nearby Tretter's, the owners of Bugy's realise they don't need to hose the atmosphere on the walls in order to attract a classy clientele, especially when they've got a list of awards longer than their menu of fine whiskeys to back themselves up. Nothing flash going on here then, just a classy, old fashioned cocktail bar with soft light and sounds letting the grown ups get on with chatting, flirting, and sipping their perfectly mixed cocktails. A decent bar allows you to watch the masters at work, which they do with the minimum of histrionics - after all, tossing cocktail shakers about while riding a unicycle would look positively crass in this type of environment. The cocktail menu - hard bound, numbered and yours to own for 350kc, should you wish - is certainly worth a mention. Not only are there hundreds of cocktails to chose from, there are also dozens of whiskeys and a ridiculous amount of fine cigars to puff on. Drink prices range from 80kc to a staggering 20,000kc! It might take you longer to sample everything on Bugsy's menu than drink in all the pubs in Prague - and that is certainly no small achievement....
No dress code enforced, but probably best to dress like you're going to a classy cocktail bar. The bouncer held me, almost tenderly, up against the curve of the vaulted brick wall by the scruff of my neck, going through my pockets. I was just making idiot sounds - before this frisking, I'd spent an undeterminable amount of time hunched over on the bowl in the gents, throwing up in a neat pool under the partition. I later realised the reason they were going through my pockets was to find some clue of where I was staying, so they could pack me off in a taxi safely. That was one of my first memories of Prague, and certainly the first of La Fabrique. Whatever else happened that night, I'm sure it was deeply shameful. But it does give me a fondness for Prague bouncers, who generally suffer a bad rap. La Fabrique used to be a great place to drop in when it was free entry. You just kept going down and down flights of steps, deeper into the bowels of the Eurotrash disco bar, until you ended up sweating away on a dancefloor in a room no bigger than a broom cupboard with a group of girls from Dusseldorf or wherever. It was never quite a bar, never quite a club, which explains my reluctance to recommend it to anyone now they've introduced that cover charge. The crowd is diverse and up-for-it-enough to give it the feel of a cheerful meat market, except the prohibitive drink prices (40kc for a small beer!) keep it from being a free-for-all. So, La Fabrique. Never quite enough of anything to be a real hit. That wouldn't necessarily count against it if it was cheap - Karlovy Lazne has the same feeling of too many things going on at once, but at least you get your money's worth. Worth a punt if you've got the time and the money, and it might pay off with a good night.
The usual - wear what you want, but making an effort wouldn't hurt. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: Uhelny Trh 2, Praha 1Phone: 224233137Directions: Making a right off the end of Rijna coming of Wenceslas Square, you'll come to the triangular square that is Uhelny Trh.

I found a small pub near the shoreline in Prague that offered some stunning view of Charles Bridge etc. It is about 200 M from the shorline and it offers some of the cheapest pints in the city but with the greatest view. I cant recall the name of the pub but it is frequented by locals and if you search near the shoreline you will find. It is an excellent way to spend a day in Prague meeting local people and taking in the sights. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and Drinking
