    Solidni Nejistota: "Maso" means meat...what's the word for 'Market'?

    Solidni Nejistota (Solid Uncertainty) looks classy, but if you've ever been in there after 11pm, you won't make that mistake again. With it's plush interior, fancy oval bar and mean bouncers, this place has been helping people hook up for a good couple of years now.

    Their sales patter on lists one of the reasons to visit as "you'll never find a better place in Prague that makes better soup." I would guess 90% of the people who go to Solidni never thought twice about ordering the soup of the day. The other ten percent are those who were reading the bar listings thinking, "I really need to find a bar/nightclub where I can eat soup while grinding my crotch against a bottle blonde's hotpanted ass."

    I'm guessing that last sentence probably sold it to a lot of you, and I can't deny that it's an entertaining place. There's plenty of high stools and tables to give you maximum people-watching opportunities, and a small dancefloor to do your grinding. The grill serves up food into the early hours. But if you're planning to get drunk, tank up in advance - they only serve small beers.

    Dress Code: The upper end of casual.

    Solidni Nejistota: no cover - gets crowded.

    solidni nejistota - literal translation could be a firm insecurity / solid unconfidence...

    still trying to decide if that's like the false security many people get after a few shots of hard liquor or many glasses of beer...i'll ask a native :)

    anyhow - it's a fun place. good mix of foreigners and czechs.

    Dress Code: dress up.
    there's no real dress code, but you will feel uncomfortable and out of place if you dont at least try.

  • Solidni Nejistota: don´t go to this bar

    Have had same experience with the bouncers here in this bar.
    They wanted also extra money for our stuff...
    This bar looks good, but it isn´t. The bouncers are the most stupid people which i ever seen and it makes the bar very poor. Looks, that the manager of this is realy bad manager if he has presonal likey he has...

    If you are agreesive and if you want to taste the fists of unbelivebely idiotic bouncer go here.

    I recomend this pub to for ex. football fans and wish you that you will kick the asses of the presonal here.

    SOLIDNI NEJISTOTA: Some local flavour

    This is a nice small club, with a small dance floor and plenty of locals. There was no cover, though prices are slightly high. Not as touristy as other bars so you might need a little Czech to get you by.

    This place is very nice, it's rather small and can get crouded, but rearly does (no idea why). I have only been there after 1am so no idea what it looks before that time. They play hit music which is good to dance to and people have a lot of fun. Drinks are ok priced but trust me, u can find cheaper!

    Dress Code: Casual but very trendy at times

    by nioski Written Jul 1, 2008

    A nice place for 25-30 yrs old and up, good music.

    Even better is Nebe, a nice place 50 meters away, people from 25 yrs old and up, and some great music with video (sometimes the same song they play, sometimes just as a background).
    Really frantic peole in the r'n'b nights.

    I'v been in these two spots at the end of june 2008.

    Dress Code: Informal, even some guy with short pants..

    In my opinion this is the best disco pub in Prague fo three reasons:
    good people;
    excellent food;
    affordable prices.
    You have to try it, above all on Friday Night.

    Dress Code: Casual dress is accepted

    Its a pretty cool club, with a large bar area, plenty of seating, and a fair size dancefloor.
    Prices are fairly reasonable and I didn't notice any foreigners here.
