Originally we planned on driving to Prague, but we could not find a rental company that would let us take a rental car to Prague. Plan B was to find a Bus Tour to Prague but there were no Tours available in our time frame. Plan C was to take a train to Prague which would take 12 hours and app. cost 260 Euros. So our dear friend Jen (Co-Air) suggested we fly. To our amazement we found SMART WINGS had a flight from Amsterdam to Prague for 268.70 Euros for the two of us and it was only a 1 hour & ten minute flight. "Book it Danno" Prague International Airport is located in the Ruzyne quarter, 20 km NW of the city centre. Leave a Comment

ait ticket and guide by sandysmith Many will arrive at Prague via its international airport which is situated some 10 miles (16km) north west of Prague. From the Uk cheap fares are available from bmibaby (Manchester) Jet2 (Leeds Bradford) Easyjet (Newcastle) and Go (Stanstead). We managed to get a good deal with the Czech sheduled airline who have daily flights from MAnchester. Theme: AirplanePhone: + 420 220 113 314Website: www.csl.cz

Plane in the airport by bugulma I came to Prague by plane. The airport is big and comfortable. That to get the metro station you need bus 119 that goes to Dejvicka Metro Station. The bus stop is just in front of the exit, under the bridge. You can buy a ticket in the airport building. Near of exit, to the right, there are some shops and one of them is a kind of tourist information where can buy ticket as well. About planes, I think it’s better to have Czech Airlines, it could be cheaper. I chose Aeroflot, Russian Airlines, and was completely disappointed by price and service. Overview of connections Airport - City by r13 Terminal 1 (Gates A, B- non-Schengen flights) - earlier these terminal was called SEVER 1. Terminals 1 and 2 are inter- connected, but have separate public transportation stops in front of each. When leaving customs area look for Public Transport Info booth on the right (Metro - Tram- Bus is written on it) here you can buy all kinds of tickets. After leaving the building cross the "street" to the bus terminal. There is a ticket vending machine, but it accepts only coins! Note that "Airport Express" (has AE written on the bus but no line number) to Holesovice railway station (and Metro C) is not part of the City bus lines, it has special higher pricing and own tickets (45 CZK). Warning: When coming from the city buses do not approach building and stop under the bridge, so you have walk to the departure hall from there.

Prague Ruzyne Airport by HORSCHECK Ruzyne Airport (Prague International Airport) is located about 20 km northwest of the city centre. The cheapest option to get into the centre is by local bus No. 119. It runs from the airport to Dejvicka, which is the metro terminus of the green line. A single ticket is valid for the full journey to the centre by bus and metro. The whole trip takes between 30 and 45 minutes. Leave a Comment

One more Pilsner Urquell before I go by richiecdisc I recently flew into Prague for the first time. I had previously arrived by car and bus. The airport is nothing special and it was a bit confusing to figure out how to get into town, but it's cheap enough and one bonus is you can get one last pint in at the airport before you go! ;=> My round trip, Philadelphia/Prague flight cost $560 on British Air. by Lejla06 There are 3 ways how to get from Airport to City Center... 1/ Public transportation - runs 5am - 12pm...at the airport take bus 119 and it takes you to last stop of metro line A, Dejvicka. From there you go to Mustek or Staromestska which are the stops in historical center of Prgaue 2/ Shuttle Bus CEDAZ - runs from the airport each half hour (on hour), from 5am - 9pm and cost 100czk and you can make deal with them where to take you or their last stop is in city center - Namesti Republiky...5min walk from Old Prague Hostel! 3/ Taxi - two companies are available at the airport - airport transport service and AAA taxi. Prices are about same...20eur to city center.

My plane by Marpessa Leaving Prague I took an Easyjet plane from Prague (Prague Ruzyne) to London (Stansted). I booked and paid for my ticket over the internet and was given a booking code (a series of letters and numbers) - it is ticketless. When entering the main terminal of Prague Ruzyne, you will have arrivals on the left and departures on the right. There are screens telling you when you can go to check in for your flight and at which desk. While waiting there is a large cafe and a souvenir shop. After getting your boarding pass and going through the security check, there is some shopping to do. This is where I bought Absinth for my friends. But there were a lot of other Czech drinks and food to be bought as well, plus your usual range of souvenirs. The flight itself was very comfortable, I think I prefer flying with Easyjet over Ryanair. Ryanair can be cheaper, but I think that is because they land outside city centres. Easyjet is very similar to Ryanair, although they had better seats. But it is still the same that if you want to eat or drink on the plane (and you have not bought your own) then you must pay for it. There are direct flights from major European cities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Facilities in the main building include a 24-hour money exchange office, a few ATMs, some fast food places, several accommodation agencies, car rental companies and a post office.
