Like many other people we thought this place was great. There are pictures showing you the various filling options as well as a choice of some delicious bagels. You help yourself to as much coffee as you can drink and all in a smoke free environment ( smokers in the back). It is self-service, so you need to order then pay at the till. They will shout you when your bagels are ready.
Favorite Dish: We had the parma ham with mozzerela and basil – very tasty.
Only bagel cafe in Prague, Bohemia Bagel has a variety of bagels and bagel sandwhiches to choose from. Along with full breakfasts that include bacon and eggs.
Self Service cafe that offers bottomless.never ending coffee and soda!!
Favorite Dish: My favorite was the Spinach bagel with a little butter :-)
Good option for breakfast. They have everything from eggs and bacon to filled bagels and bottomless coffees and soft drinks. Also good for takeaways from morning till late in the evening. They have internet access as well. This is the only place we visited where don't expect to be served with a smile.
I love this place. If you have read my boo, "Finding Henry", you know that I logged in many, many hours at it. It has it all-cheap phone calls to home, Internet access, bagels, soup, and coffee. It also has a message board for travelers and you can pick up the English version of the "All Around Town" paper. Good place to mingle.
Favorite Dish: I really liked their tomatoe basil soup. I also enjoyed their apple and peanut bagels. And chocolate chip cookies...And mochacinos...And chocolate chip muffins...It's all reasonably priced, too.
Note: The guy turns on the clock as soon as you tell them you want to get on the Internet. Run to the chair straight away so that you're not getting charged for time you didn't use.
Cheap cheerful and nice lunch time food.
There is a vast range of filled Bagels such as the home made Guacamole and chicken and the Egg and bacon with cheese.
You pay for the bagel and a drink and you can refill your drink as many times as you want. You can also choose what kind of bagel you want.
You have to order at the counter as it is not waiter service.
Favorite Dish: Home made Guacamole with chicken.
Bohemia Bagel - Others recommend it but, did you find it? Ujezd 16 or Masna 2 (Masna 2 details below).
You can eat in the cafe or take away back to the square with the coffee that you would probably have bought at the same time. Personally I don´t like to hang around until someone shouts out my name but, the egg and bacon breakfast bagel I can wait for.
Favorite Dish: Cinnamon Bagel with Losos and horseradish (in New York it's called Locks I think). Anyway it's cold smoked salmon and horseradish.
Very friendly, busy people from all over the world, all enjoying fantastic food.
They have an internet cafe there as well so you can update your VT pages as you go along ...NOT...Far to much to do and see!!!
Favorite Dish: Hot tuna melts and a blt bagel mmmmm
bagel sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner
soup and a bagel
bottomless cups of coffee or soda (VERY rare in the cz.rep.)
smoking and non-smoking sections (also rare)
internet cafe attached
great deserts - cheesecake, brownies, large cookies
daily lunch special
great for students studying abroad who long for something sort of familar.
Favorite Dish: the BLT probably on a cheese bagel with a cup of coffee
and either cheesecake or cookies. :)
Not just for bagels, they also have 10 types of soup and 6 types of desserts and great coffees. I did get a bagel though---with egg and bacon--and it was excellent.
I understand there are 2 Bohemian Bagels in Prague. One is be the town center and it is also an internet cafe. We went to the one across the river towards the castle. It was small, but very nicely painted and stencilled. It had a really nice ambiance.
Another big advantage here is that for about $.15 extra, you can get a bottomless glass of soda or cup of coffee! That may not seem too special, unless you're a spoiled American like myself! After walking for hours, the refills are really nice to have!
Favorite Dish: The egg and bacon bagel and the soda refills
There are a ton of restaurants but most of them are expensive and serve bad international cuisine. These are the best we found (and really cheap), additionally to the ones for which I put as individual tips:
Hogo Fogo, located Salvatorska 4, an almost off the beaten path with only locals, serves mainly great vegetarian food.
Kursovice, Melanchitrova street;
Bohemia Bagel, Ujzed street, draws an almost all American crowd as they're know for bagels (who would have thought?) Oh, and they have Internet access! =)
My favourite place in Prague is this Bagel shop in Mala Strana! It´s really hard to decide which one you should eat, they have a large variety on their menu and the bagels all are delicious! I don´t really need another restaurant while in Prague :)
I just had a look at their webpage and found that there is a second restaurant nowadays near the old town square. It´s an internet cafe also!
Bohemian Bagel - Europe's Only FREE DRINK REFILLS
See photo- Bohemian Bagel is the orange building to the lower left....
This Cyber Cafe/Restaurant truly lives up to its Bohemian name. There is a smoking and a non-smoking computer room where you can sit and eat while surfing the internet. There are also several pleasant booths and tables and an outdoor patio.
Did I mention Free Drink Refills??
Favorite Dish: It's a bagel shop- You can get all sort of sandwiches on bagels.... Pretty good- but the big kick was that you could buy a 'bottomless drink' and get as many refills as you want. Sounds pretty American, huh?
My favorite place to eat in all of Prague, was sadly enough, Bohemian Bagel. Yes, I know, you think maybe it's just bagels, but you're wrong. They've got breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and more!
They've got internet access for only 1KC a minute, or at the time, 3 cents a minute, and that's not bad compared to everywhere else.
Favorite Dish: Try the Italiano Bagel, it's pesto, tomatoes, onions, and mozzerela cheese on a bagel of your choice. Comes with unlimited drink refills, pasta salad, and relaxation is guaranteed.
I won't lie, I ate whatever was cheapest and close to my hostel. Other than my many visits to Bohemian Bagel for most of my meals, I did stop by a very nice restaurant just on the edge of the Old Town Square. They served lasagna that was as soft as butter, oh, it was so good.
Very close to Old Town square and easy to find. You can grab a snack or have a soda while checking in with VT and your Email.
Internet connection runs around $2 an hour.
