U Ceskych Panu, Prague

A typical Prague restaurant with a great atmosphere. It is based in the cellar of an impressive building and has a mediaeval feel and look to it with suits of armour and weaponry dotted around. There is evening entertainment with music and dancing.

Favorite Dish: I can recommend the beef sirloin stroganoff and the Staropramen dark was good.

The food is amazing. Traditional Czech meals at very reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is very cosy, candlelit and they have traditional music and dancing as well.

Favorite Dish: I had roast pork with cabbage and dumplings. It was superb.

Prague is full of restaurants and to be honest all the ones I went to were not much to shout about (well, Prague is hardly the culinary capital of the world). However, this one was absolutley fantastic.

We stumbled upon it by accident and were greeted by a full restaurant where we seemed to be the only Engligh people, I'll never forget watching the table of 4 Russians finishing off a litre of Vodka between them after their meal.

The restaurant has a medievil theme and is set underground. The food here is Czech and Slovak and is great quality and while not quite priced for the locals it is a lot cheaper than those in the main tourist areas, you can get a full five courses for 550czk! The portions were so big that the waitress never turned up with her side order. We were initially annoyed but were thankful to her when we were struggling down the last morsels of the main course.

Favorite Dish: Pork and Mustard Dumplings

Small but lovely restaurant in the Prague center. The walls are brick covered and there is a Medieval atmosphere. You can make reservation through their web site, where you can found their menu and a few pictures.
They have different kind of meals available (beef, fish, vegetarian, czech, etc.), so you should be fine.
We ordered one goulash, one salad, one chicken in red wine, potatoes, beer and two Fanta and spent about 18 Euro for both of us! 9 Euro per person!!
Also, the quantity of food on the dishes was very good.

U Ceskych Panu Restaurant (the Czech Lords Restaurant)

This place i can recommend for lunch.

The restaurant cellars have been beautifully restored, presenting diners with a feel of authenticity, but in a modern, air-conditioned environment.

A nice medieval style restaurant.

U Ceskych Panu is one the best value restaurants in Prague. Prices are around 5-6 pounds for the main course.

Favorite Dish: I think it was the Bohemian platter but i can't remember.
It had pickled cabbage, dumplings, leg of duck, sausage.
