(photo:Kati and I in the Pivnice U Fleku) Are you wondering who is that beautiful girl on the photo?
Well, she is the best friend of mine and I'm very proud of her. She's called Dr. Katalin Gál and she'll be a prosecutor. Actually, she don't like travelling very much. Her only fault...
Some about the pubs and restaurants:Leave the well-known U Kalicha (Svejk's place). It has changed a lot since then.:)) If you don't want to drink bad beer in a spiritless place leave the U Fleku too. Only Fletkovsky Lezsak is served here, and to tell the truth, this is a piece of crap.
Then where to drink? In the other tousend pivnices of the city. My favourite pivnice situated in the Hrad. It's called U CERVEHO VOLA. Just go 3 minutes straight from the guard-relay and you'll find it. There are several pivnices and restaurants by the way to the Hrad in the Mala Straná (for example on the Neroduva street).I offer you one more pivnice nearby the Vaclavské Námesti. I can't remember it's name but I'm sure that's the only pivnice on Chárvatová street.
PIVNICE RADEGAST by the Powder Tower is a very good restaurant.I bravely advise you.
even if you don't like beer, even if you don't like czech cuisine you MUST go to 'u fleku'. it is one of the oldest pubs of Prague and the atmosphere is...very czech!
Favorite Dish: here you'll have the best czech beer and some good traditional czech dishes (goulash)
U Fleku - has brewed its unique dark beer, Flekovské, since 1499. Defenatelly have to try! Also very wide manu of local meals.
There prices are reasonable for every budget.
There best -atmosphere ever, with the Sveik-dressed musicians and singing customers (locals as well as tourists).
Favorite Dish: Beer:) of course
U Fleku is the oldest brewpub of Prague and was established in 1499.I think that this information will be enough to draw your attention. You can also try some czech food too.
Favorite Dish: dark beer
The pivovar is a place to visit if you like beer. There is original clock above the restaraunt.
Favorite Dish: Flekovska beer - a dark beer. I drank two.
