Lovely clean and well spaced out shop, fantastic pieces of glass at very reasonable prices.
The lady was helpful and packed up my piece so it was safe for the journey home.
I wouldn't like to go in there with children though,it would put my nerves on edge !!!
What to buy: I bought a beautiful piece of blue glass,a cat for my mum,the choice was immense, could've bought more.
What to pay: 300 for my piece,a bargain I thought.

great place. A man called Vladimir and his son (son wears glasses) sell 2lb and 1lb pots of white creamy and runny honey for 100/120 koruna and 40/50 koruna respectively.
There is also stall at back behind the fruit and veg stalls selling cheap jars of jam, olives, dried dates etc.
This market has a great choice and is cheap and if you go near the end of the day you can get the leftovers for free!
Enjoy!
Chris.
What to buy: Honey, dried dates, olives, nuts, fruit and vegetables etc.
What to pay: low prices! tomatoes 10k/kilo same for bananas and oranges and apples even less.

This store had all kinds of crafts made in Czech Republic, such as wooden toys, home products, candles, bath products and soaps (I bought a lot of these!) It was a pleasure just to browse at all the things... a lot of them would make great gifts.
What to pay: Things in this store were not too expensive at all- prices were about average, but the quality of the things are excellent.

Botanicus is located in a couple areas of town. one right on Havelska - where the markets are. One in the Ungelt, behind Tyn Cathedral in Old Town Square.
Lots of herbal soaps, lotions, candles, as well as kitchen oils and herbs and spices., and a bunch of other stuff as well! They also sell stationary, and even have tours to the place where the stuff is made.
What to buy: I love the bath salts, candles, aromatherapy oils, massage oils, soaps on a rope, etc etc. I can alwasy find something for any of my friends when i need a neat, unique gift.
What to pay: anywhere from 60 crowns on up.

very homey but usually cramped interiors. this store contains lots of wooden toys that kids - young and old - all seem to enjoy. other items are cornhusk-like dolls in traditional outfits, painted eggs, kitchen-ware, decorative pieces like candle holders, natural soaps, etc etc.
good thing about this store, is that most items are decently priced and fairly light-weight (which is alwasy good when traveling by plane and under suitcase weight restrictions! :-)
What to buy: I really like the wooden toys!
What to pay: anywhere from 15 crowns on up into the 1000's of crowns depending on what you buy and how much!

Where to buy backpacking, outdoor, mountaineering equipement in Prague...
-network of "Hudysport" shops, good product range, known to be more expensive. As assistants in different shops are different and network is franacheesing based, some shops are for example more mountaineering oriented, other more for "common people".
http://www.hudy.cz/
- Humisport - HUMI sport, Martinska 2, 110 00 Praha 1. Comparable with Hudy. If you buy equipment which their sister company HUMI Outdoor produce, best from them. http://www.humi.cz/
- Alpinus - big new shop next to Humi in Martinska.
- I usualy shop at internet shop Bartsport - www.bartsport.cz. They're cheaper. In theory its possible to arrange physical visit in their sale storage, Terronská 28, Praha 6 Bubenec.
http://www.bartsport.cz/
- ABCsport, Moskevská 74, Praha 10 - Vrsovice, www.abc-sport.cz. Smaller range of goods, but if they have same thing, it's cheaper than in HUDY for example.
http://www.abc-sport.cz/
What to buy: Some equipement produced in Czechia are very good quality and good price, superior price/value ratio. I can only reccoment tents from "JUREK S+R" company, cooking equipement from "VAR". Sleeping bags from "Sir Joseph" are said to be superior quality.

Those puppets sold all around town are really cute. Unfortunately too expensive for my taste, I can't seem to find cheaper ones. There's a store on Celetna Street selling these puppets. You will notice it by a monkey dancing in circles.

Prague most famous shopping centre Kotva is nothing compared to like what we have here. Haha! However, this was like one of the best malls I've seen in town, there's a supermarket on the ground floor and many other little outlets, and as you proceed upstairs, it's clothes and restaurants. Very basic and simple and even boring I would say, but no chance giving it a miss if you are around the premises.

Parizska is the street near to Old Town Hall; there are plenty of designer shops on that street.
If you have no worries of money and fancy a shopping in Prague, I think you should head towards this street.
