In the Prague forums, people have been asking about the famous crystals in Prague, and somebody asked about the name of that crystal shop where Samantha Brown went to in her Prague episode, and YVRDave (my virtual friend "Griff") raced me to the answer...here is that forum: http://forum.virtualtourist.com/discussion-458378-1-1-Travel-0-0-World-discussion.html
However, Samantha often stays at expensive hotels and the prices in that crystal place might be high. You might have to do more reasearch on the net but the pragueexperience website might help a little:

Clearly, there are many tourist traps for crystals in Prague and so one really has to look over the internet first and see how prices are before venturing to the actual store to buy.
What to buy: The famous Bohemian Crystal of Prague

You can find hundreds of souvenir shops in Prague. The good thing about them is the prices are "same" everywhere. So you won't thing as if you were cheated. I'm talking about souvenir shops where you can find small gifts like magnets, keyrings, t-shirts etc. to your friends, parents etc.
Also, the sales persons are all very kind. Most of them actually are not originally Czech people. They are all different countries of Europe, even far away sometimes. But they do not insist on you to sell anything which makes buying gifts easier.
What to buy: I bought my brother a t-shirt which writes on it:
"My brother was in Prague and the only thing he bought me is this lousy t-shirt" :D Funny ha?
And also do not miss to buy one of those "Czech Me Out - Prague" t-shirts as well!
There are other millions of different things you can find in many shops.
What to pay: For a small gift like keyring or magnets 100-150 CZ
For an average puppet 350-500 CZ
For a t-shirt 150-200 CZ.

If its bargains you are after I cant help, the shops we visited on the main shopping areas, the New Town arcades and Wencleslas Square were not cheap, many recognised branded shops, Adidas, Nike etc, nearly every shop has Bohemian crystal and Amber jewellery of all shapes and sizes, and although there is so much of the stuff, the prices are still not low. Cartier shop on the edge of the Old Town Square, you can window shop and have a laugh at how they come up with those prices. I dont know where the locals do their shopping, but there are a couple of outdoor market for massive fruit, grapes the size of golf balls, they seem to have a fixation on puppets and marionets, hundreds of shops sell sinister looking dolls, witches that cackle and dance, its another example of the dark side of Prague.
There are shops dotted all around, down the side streets on the way to the Bridges and Castle, but as the £ and $ seem to be struggling at present and the koruna strong the poor exchange rates reflect the steep prices.
Also at the moment (Oct 2008), Wencleslas Square is undergoing building work, so there are the usual machinery dirt and noise.
What to buy: Crystal, Amber, Garnet
What to pay: Not cheap, but maybe bartering is worth a shot as there are so many shops selling the smae items.

There are many souvenir shops dotted around the city. The items most common for sale are crystal glassware, shot glasses, absinth (and other spirits).
In some specialist shops there are also traditional puppets.

Supermarket ALBERT is not a huge market, but there you will find lot of food and drink. Prices are average, but much more cheaper then in other markets in old-town.
What to buy: The best item for buying in Prague is cherry liqueur (About 100 kč)
Also there is cheap beer (7-20 kč)
What to pay: If you want to have a cold lunch - have about 100kč.

There were so many beautiful things to buy here. Colourful store window jammed with the hand painted glass ornaments and gorgeous crystal. Everywhere there were shops filled with wooden toys and those stackable wooden dolls that I can't remember the name. It was the beginning of our trip however and we could only window shop as we had a month to go. Unfortunately the prices were much more expensive when we got to Austria!!
