Municipal House, Prague
Municipal House is home to the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and at its heart is the biggest concert hall in Prague, the Smetana.
The "Municipal House" may be Prague's most important "Art Nouveau" building. It is shown in every travel guide. I'll add just one more detail.
Over the entrance of the Town House you can see a mosaic called Homage to Prague and at its sides there are sculptures representing the oppression and the rebirth of the Czech people.
An Art Nouveau building constructed early 20th century, on the spot of the former king´s court, a seat of the kings of Bohemia. The monumental Smetana concert hall forms the centre of the building.
The Municipal House displays an astonishing ornamental variety both on its exterior and inside the building. Some elements are already rather kitschy IMO
