Which I really wasn't that into. The palace gardens were nice though. Anyway, the gallery has a really nice collection. I particularly liked a Veronese of St. Catherine. Leave a Comment

The massive gothic cathedral anchors Prague Castle on the majestic hill. The church was officially completed in the 20th century. The exterior is as glorious as the interior. There is a pass that you can purchase that lets you see some exclusive areas of the church. You can climb into the steeples. The same ticket lets you visit St. George basilica and the golden road. This is REALLY important. There are some options...but IMHO the best option is taking a tram 22/23 to the top and than walk down the castle hill. Taking the Metro is not a good idea. You still need to walk a long way up to get into the castle entrance. Walking is nice...but pretty tiring because the hill is quite high up and steep.

This was a small shock to me, but inside the Prague Castle compound (I can't remember where, but a guide can tell you) is a pretty impressive Barbie (sp?) Doll collection/museum. I have no idea how or why it's there, but it is and it's actually fairly impressive to folks who, like me, are not terribly interested in Barbieology. But there are literally hundreds, probably thousands, of dolls inside, including a University of Texas Cheerleader Barbie, which brought me back home to Austin for just a moment while standing in Prague Castle. It was vaguely surreal on several different levels. I never thought I'd ever write this sentence, but here goes: The Barbie Doll Museum in Prague Castle is a DON'T MISS for Barbie fans worldwide! ;) Hope this helps! Worth the visit, but I would not pay to go in the various buildings. A walk around the castle is nice on its own. If you desperately want to spend money, visit the alchemists road and Kafka's house. You can also try your abilities in arbalest! Leave a Comment

You should see the castle from Charles Bridge and then get there and wander around. It is free to get inside the grounds. You have to pay to go around the buildings. If you are pushed for time walking around the grounds is very nice indeed. When you leave you can always come down the hill and there are a few bars and restaurants you can stop at.
