Beware of pickpockets.
My husband had his wallet with credit cards, and cash
stolen from under two layers of clothing while getting onto a tram. It was very cleverly done.

well, not that this is anything new but... the tourist-guide there warned us of pocket-lifting! Just some suspicious faces but then again that happens everywhere if you're not careful!

As in all big cities be cautious of the pickpockets, especially around crowded areas such as Karluv Most and Staromestke Namesti.

Be careful not to get ripped off by cabbies. They tend to take advantage of tourists, so beware...or take public transportation whenever possible.

Carry your money at a safe place....I have seen a pick pocket on Karlsbrücke once......

Pick pockets were quite common when I went, i don't know what it is like now, but as with anywhere don't keep valuables on display.
