    Don't miss this great example of an Art deco-fassade of 1898 - the building is in a side-street, next to the black tower.

    Have a look for the rich ornaments and great mosaiques around the balconies !

    Inside this old building you may see a big collection of old motorcycles.
    It is a pity, they wre closed already, when I arrived there, but I will visit it next time !

    The church will normally be locked, but you may have a look inside through the fence and you may see the great paintings in the cuppola and the great altar.
    There are no seats inside that small church.

    2 churches are nearby the black tower :
    the big catholic church and the much smaller Greek catholic church hidden behind of it.

    It is somehow great, they are built so close to each other.

    Towers like this one were not only built as bell towers, but also to look out for enemies, approaching the town or simply to detect fire in time.
    This is why the balcony is rather big and comfortable, but the way up is not really built for a lot of people climbing up and down at the same time.
    So simply be patient with the others...

    Have a look for this great old entrance-door with the date of year 1553 written on it.
    This is the entrance to the black tower, the entrance-fee was about 50 kronen.(less than 2 $)
    The tower was built as the bell tower of the nearby church and the steps up to the top are rather narrow at many places.

    The black tower is visible from almost every place and street in town, and might help you, when you are lost at night - after a few glasses of the famous local beer...

    And you may also step up the plenty steps to get the great view over the town and the square.

    Hotel Zwon consists of these four buildings on the main square.
    They have a great restaurant and terrace, and although they have a higher level of service and prices than the rest of the town, it is still quite moderate against the rest of Europe.

    This fountain with plenty of great sculptures is the centre of the whole square.
    Plenty of benches are set around it and make a great place to relax and enjoy the panorama of the old buildings !
    The fountain will be lighted at night.
