The young Vltava, the most important Czech river, is running all the way between Vyssi Brod and Cesky Krumlov through dense forests. It is very popular among rafters, kanoeists and fishermen. An excellent place to observe them is the tiny village Rozmberk with its castles and the restaurants and beer gardens right along the river.
The Rozmberks were of the leading Czech noble families and they developed significantly the region of their manors.
The Torture Chamber can be visited by smaller groups of tourists, the admission is less than 1 EUR, paid before entering the Torture Chamber. Some of the medieval instruments of torture can be tried out!
