Favorite thing: The Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul is located in the center of Brno on the top of Petrov hill. People say that it is located on the presumed site of the former Brno castle. Originally, the church has been built as a Romanesque basilica and in the 13 c. it was rebuilt in the Gothic style. Its current neo-Gothic form dates from the turn of this century. The St. Peter and Paul cathedral creates the city's typical cathedral.

Favorite thing: Petrov cathedral is a view point of Brno. It stands on a hill and there are some gardens around and old buildings, which makes this sight spectacular.
This gothic cathedral started to be built in year 1090. Getting through many changes, later was burnt by Swedes during a battle in 17. century. Still in 19.century it didnt have any of two recent towers.
Petrov cathedral is exactly in the centre of Brno, nobody can miss it. The masses take place regulary. The cathedral is very beautiful inside. It is possible to go up to one of the towers. From the north one is a view on Brno and from the south one on the landscape around Brno. It costs 35 Kc (1,4 euro). Also there is an exhibition of jeweleries.

Favorite thing: ..impossible to take the whole picture with my camera lenses, but you will manage ! The best part is the roof ! which is missing on this picture.. This evangelic church I pass daily on my way to work and I love this church ! It is located in the centre of the town, between the building of the Faculty of Medicine and the Court. Often there are beautiful concerts and choirs inside. When you get lost in Brno, ask for the way to the Red Church and there you find the platform where trams to all directions stop.

Favorite thing: CHURCH PETROV - this is after Pragues Sv. Vit on Prague Castle other beautiful church in Czech Republic ! The way to this church is through the old town with very nice old buildings and cloisters.

Favorite thing: THE MONASTERY OF KAPUCINS - there is on the way through the old part of Brno to Petrov Church. With very old catacombs - it´s worth to see it !
