If you want to experience a bit of the glamour of this belle epoque grand hotel without wanting (or being able to) pay the prices for a room or a big meal at the restaurant, visit the cafe for a coffee or tea and a piece of cake. Prices are above Karlovy Vary average but for us Euro holders still moderate. The cafe is located on the ground floor of the wing next to the river. Cosy atmosphere, quiet, with friendly and attentive service and excellent goodies - nothing left to desire.
The stylish toilets are also impressive and worth a visit, also because you pass through the lobby on the way there and see a bit of the hotel.
Favorite Dish: My chocolate cake was simply divine... Hard to find appropriate words to describe it.
Forget all your diet restrictions and enjoy...

When we were in Czech Republic, in Karlovy Vary, we had a many free time so we decided to go to restaurant to eat an ice-cream. It was a end of June so it was a pretty hot outside. And we decided to go to ''Pilsner Urquell''. We ordered 2 ice-creams. We only said: ''Two ice-creams, please'' and nothing more, so we didn't know what they will bring us. After 5-7 minutes waiter bring us 2 vanilla apricot ice-creams with waffles and hot raspberries. That was my first time when I tried ice-cream with hot.. just with something hot! I mean not only with hot chocolate, but with something more... And I liked this taste, even it was very hot outside.

Lunch was included on our excursion and the place where we had it, was on the thermal hotel. The menu consist on 3 startes and 3 main course where you have to choose one. As main course i had the mushroom soup and for main course the traditional gulash and finally i had a coffee. The food was delicious and staff were very nice.

It's a small restaurant 200 m from the river in a small upwards street. You are served by a nice owner with a magic smile who speaks german and a bit of english
Favorite Dish: Gebratene Karpfen (a fish) but you get also small potatoes pancakes with plum jam and a topping of sweetcheese.

Reasonable prices for touristic city.
Pasta of various kinds, salami, cheese, fish, poultry, meat, salads, pizza, tiramisu, sundaes, wines, liqueurs..
