Lidice Transportation

The last time I went to Lidice 6 years ago I had a hire car. This time I decided to take the bus. I caught the metro to Dejvicka, which is the last stop on the ‘A’ Green line. There are a number of bus stops in the area. You need to stay on the northern side of the street and walk in a westerly direction looking out for the Hotel Diplomat. When you are on opposite side of the road from the hotel look out for bus stand 2. I caught the 11am #56 bus which travels in the direction of Kladno and costs 25CZK one way. The route is well marked and when the bus turns off the motorway it will travel about 1km, you will notice the roadside stalls on the left before the bus turns right. Get off at this stop, the driver may also give you the nod to get off the bus. The return stop is on the opposite side of the road. I caught the return bus at about 3.55pm
