Illuminated buildings: Prague at night

by richmors

Prague is beautiful. During the day, but at night it is wonderful illuminated everywhere. Most tourists are to their hotels, so it is a better time to enjoy the great atmosphere in the streets, restaurants, and pubs. Czech beer is the best in the world. However Belgium beer is great too. What you like.

M1 Lounge: Great music & Great atmosphere

by EuroJ

This lounge was great, the dj there was from New York and He definitely had a good blend of music going on there. Plenty booths/ tables available for everyone . The drink menu was quite extensive and the drinks were not over priced at all, as a matter of fact they happened to be cheap in my opinion. It was in a safe lit up area and there were taxis around to take the clubgoers home afterwards. Highly recommended No dress code

Municipal House Concert Hall, Prague: Live Music

by hopang

Smetana Concert Hall is located inside the Municipal House (Obecni dum) which is located next to the Powder Gate at Republik Square, just within a stone's throw from the Old Town Square in the heart of the Old Town of Prague. It is the most prominent and spectacular art nouveau building in the city of Prague. It is considered a cultural landmark of the Czech Republic. The facade of this neo-Renaissance and neo-Baroque style building looks very impressive with gold trimmings, beautiful stained glass windows, impressive stone works and lovely frescoes on top of the main entrance. The Municipal House contains among others two elegant restaurants, a lovely gallery, a café and Smetana Concert Hall. The concert hall was named after Bedrich Smetana. The Concert Hall is home to the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and hosts some of the classical concerts in the city of Prague. In fact it is only...

Pubs pubs pubs!

by mbsimjam

If you weren't aware already, Czech Republic is rated the country with the highest consumption per capita of beer in the world on a regular basis. They certainly wouldn't be able to pull this off without a plethora of pubs on nearly every corner of every town. My wife's family comes from an area that includes 4 villages clustered together, totalling about 1000 people. In total, I can think of 5 pubs. So wherever you are in the country, you will find a pub. It is usually the social hub of the community, particularly in smaller places. Also, the locals love to talk with foreigners (Assuming they know English), which can make for an interesting night. The other great thing about pubs in CZ are they are all cheap as dirt! It is in these pubs that you find beer for 13-15 Kc, while in dance clubs they can go 30-50 Kc or more. Food, as well, is cheap. You can get well fed for 100-130 Kc, and...

Nightlife in Prague: Nightlife in Prague

by Leipzig

It is no problem to go out in Prague. Bars, clubs and restaurants can be found at every corner. Most of them are open until the morning hours. We stopped in several bars to have some beer. Prices were moderate and the beer was great. I highly recommend to tast local brands - the Czechs brew the best beer in the world - yes, even better then the Germans! Cheers!

cheers

Karlovy Láznì: Massive Dance Club

by gabenjess

Karlovy Lazne is four floors high and each level of the club plays a different set of tunes. Just one entrance fee gets you into all levels, and there's enough variation to keep even the most ardent clubber entertained all night. The 4 levels consist of Paradogs, Kaleidoscope, Discothèque and MCM Café. Basically, start at the bottom and work your way up through the hard core dance tunes, up to the 70's disco revival, and finally chill out on the top floor café; the café plays a mellow selection of music and features cushions, rugs and soft lighting. The club really starts to get busy after 10 pm at weekends, so to avoid lengthy queues get there early.
