    Peklo at the Metuji Valley

A visit to Nove Mesto nad Metuji is not complete without a trip to Peklo. After leaving Nove Mesto the road leads through the dark woods of the Metjui valley. You can park your car near the restaurant and walk on along the Metuji. Dark woods and wild water, many birds and sometimes a black squirrel.
The Hotel/Restaurant Peklo is -in 1910- reconstructed from an old windmill (nickname the devils mill) by the architect Jurkovic. There are many legends and myths about this place, wich some people call "hell".
The interior of restaurant reminds of the dark ans sinister past, but don't be afraid: it's all in the game, the food is excellent and the people friendly!

A light bidling with different levels and a garden. Famous hospitality and almost always crowded!

Favorite Dish: A big peace of porklegs with bread, vegetables and some special herbs. One of these herbs is very special; is tastes like very strong mustard and it is delicious!
Karel Drašnar visits your table personally to cut the meat for you.
