The aeroplane bar is probably the dodgiest bar in the centre of Olomouc. It’s open from 9pm to 7am six days a week. The decor is 70's mafia chic and the canned beer is expensive and warm. The novelty of it being in a plane is the only reason to visit. The aeroplane was brought here in 1975 as the ‘in’ restaurant for the communist elite and quite possibly has not been thoroughly cleaned since the revolution.
There's a small dance floor up towards the cockpit that stays empty until the other bars in town close and people are drunk enough to think that going to the airplane bar is a good idea. The nostalgia of the 80's music is a saving grace. It's probably best not to attend alone.
Enjoy!
Probably it was because I was there in august on Sunday, but almost all the pubs, wine-bars and most restaurants too were closed! It seems that tourists really haven't discovered this wonderful town yet... that's good, but if you want to go out ad Sunday you want have many choices!
If you like dancing in Olomouc you can go to this disco which is the most popular and central; Varna is open all the days, during the day as a pub where you can eat or drink and in hte evening as a Disco. Music is pop, dance and techno; on thursday there is a special night dedicated to Czech and Slovachian music.

If you pass in Olomouc after you have been drinking a lot in many pubs and bars...maybe you are tired and you want to go to sleep!!!
but if this is not enough for you got to "Latka" Varna; you see an airplane but this special bar is inside this airplane; it opens at 1 p.m. and closes at 7 a.m. in the morning. You will find there all "night-birds" who like sleeplessness.
There is music in "Latka" and you can have a drink sitting because the space is not too much.

if you want to drink a good beer in a typical pub go to Drapal. there the "dark" draught beer is the best i drinked in Olomouc; you can also eat something because the kitchen is open from 10.00 a.m. to 23.00 p.m.
I don't remember the address of thi spub but it's close to the city near Hotel Gemo (the best one!).

nothing special restriction
As typical for the region and for old towns, there are plenty of places to hang around and catch some more beers, drinks and maybe some party time too. Havana was another one of those.
Hanácká pivnice is a local restaurant and bar where you can enjoy some of the best local beers and taste some local food.
