Hanacka Hospoda: Your best chance to try Moravian Food!!
The Hanácká Hospoda (pronounced ‘hanatska hospoda’) is the best place to try the traditional food of the region, and it comes in big portions for not much money. They also have a beer hall in the basement, but don’t go down there; the main restaurant is on street level.
There’s an English menu, so ask for it straight up to save yourself some time. Sometimes there are only three waitresses for 100 diners, so don’t be too surprised if they don’t spend as much time with you as you might be accustomed to in other places. That's not to say that the service is bad, just that they won't stand around if you're not sure what to order; they'll go and help somebody else and come back to to you when you look ready (close the menu!)
Hána is the name of the culturally unique region surrounding Olomouc, and Hospoda just means pub.
Favorite Dish: The imaginative and entertaining menu includes such dishes as "the fried livers of Kropal the teetotaller", "Bretik the non-swimmer" (pickled sausage), and the pungent local cheese dish, which is accompanied by mints and the request to write down orders for second helpings, rather than risk the wait-staff fainting due to the aroma on your breath.
Probably the best value meal is "chicken-a-la-duck", which is half a chicken in a dark-beer sauce on a bed of cabbage with dumplings for 79 crowns/2.5 euros.

Krčma pod Limpou: Very nice underground restaurant!
The guys at the hostel had suggested me another restaurant (Hanácká hospoda) which should have been the best in town... but it was closed on Sunday, so we all went to Krčma pod Limpou, which is just beside the other one!
The atmosphere is really very nice, it's all underground, it probably was a cellar, so it's dark, long and not so large!
The food was really very good, I remember I ate some venison, and enjoyed my meal really a lot!
The prices were cheap as always are in Czech Republic. I really suggest this place if you fo to Olomouc!
Svatováclavský Pivovar: Brewpub
Lunchtime visit to this popular brewpub, a great place to find. Very tasty food with some house brewed beers with friendly and helpful staff.
Enjoyed ourselves here.
Plan B: Plan B
An underground cave, really tasty food for me and a specially prepared veggie dish for Mrs B along with some good Bernard beers. Lovely place to visit - enjoyed
Cafe 87 is probably my favourite in this town, even that it was not the best coffee or most stylish, it had something of authentic and after all the service, drinks and snacks were good.
Green Bar is a unique local vegetarian restaurant here, why unique? Because vegetarian food is not very popular here, not yet at list, but we will see how this place will survive.
This is yet another from the many small coffee places I notice here, this Café Destiny offer some good choice of drinks and snacks.
Cafe Bar Maxi
Yet another of the small trendy cafe bars here in town, this is also located on the typical street bar where everyone celebrating at the weekends :)
Captain Morgan´s is a popular place for dinning and drinking. They have also a nice terrace for the sunny days and at weekend they are open till very late at nights.
As expected in European old town, there are plenty of terraces all around to sit outside in the sunny warm sunshine and enjoy a cup of coffee or cold Czech beer.
I arrived to this city rather early day and was happy to find this nice coffee place, it seems they have very nice cakes at that place but for me it was enough just to have a nice cup of coffee.
Hanacka Hospoda Restaurant: My Favourite In CZE
Great place to try czech cousine. Every thing we tried was delicious.
And prices are reasonable (could say cheap).
Whenever I'll be near Olomouc, I'll stop for a lounch, that's for sure.

Restaurant Olympos: Greek Food
Greek restaurant Olympos is located on Panska Street - on the right side coming from the Zerotinovo Square towards the Lower Square (Dolni Namesti).
