Take lots of film. Mind my words, you'll need it!
ATM vs cash: You'd better bring along your ATM card and not cash. Besides the relative safety this offers, it will also help you to avoid huge commissions that are often charged by foreign exchange buros (and by the companies converting travellers' cheques into cash, alas, as well). You'll see plenty of ATM machines, especially in big cities. Many shops also accept the cards. Leave a Comment

The weather was unusually cold when I was there this June, and it rained quite a bit. Make sure you bring your raincoat and an umbrella. Leave a Comment

These fleamarkets operate any time of the year, and they are mostly outdoor stalls. If you go during the wintertime, dress in warm layers and carry a backpack. Make sure you have a hat and gloves, also.
The toilets are...lacking...unless you use one inside a restaurant. You may need to pack your own toilet paper. Leave a Comment
