In 16th century the Archdeans Church lost the bell tower during nature catastrophe, so they builded a new tower for bells, the White tower.
Behind the tower has been city cementary, which is changed into a small square.

Unmissable part of midle age city is Churche. This is the oldest one in Klatovy and until 15th century it has been domain of Klatovy.
The story of this temple is not very well known. Anyway it is a three parts temple.
It is now in Gothic style, after different renovations. At the moment it completely new renovated, small, but nice :o)

This museum has been established in the year 1882 by dr. K. Hostas. It is showing the history of Klatovy and neighbourhood. The building is comming from the beginning of 20th century. There are bees on the front, they have meaning of diligence. There is one, which are students touching to have luck by studies. I was going around this building during my study in grammary school and it was o.k.

Second weekend in July every year gets this city crowded. There is comming the City fair. There are a lots of celebrations and festivals. For example you can see international folks dance festival, beer celebrations and markets. This all is done in czech style, markets are historical with real smith, joiner and other old professions selling their products and wearing old czech clothes.
Your kids can enjoy a lot of czech sweets (which taste great...) and attractions like carusels etc.
I can promise you all costs are half of Prague costs. Hotels even less.
