Gilleleje's beach is not the longest or prettiest in Denmark by any means, but it has a Blue Flag which means it is clean and has conveniences. It stretches west of the town and when we visited, it was harbour festival so we had the beach to ourselves. There are also plenty of beaches along this whole stretch of coastline (such as in Dronningmollen and Hornbaek) so there is no need to get cramped.
