A little group of houses surrounds the old mill on the road to Tranderup. There are two commemorative stones: one marking the return of Ærø to Denmark, and another honoring a pioneer from the U.S. state of Washington. There is also a bench that is known as the "Peace Bench."

Some people living in Aeroskobing for 30 years do not know this place! And it is very strange, because it is just 5min on foot out of town :) There is nothing so interesting there, I just go for a walk with my dog there. But if you are looking for a more queit place than the visited by tourist, you can come there to have a picnic, burn the fire, there is a wooden tent and under it you will find a table with benches there for free use. Also some sculptures and swings. You will find this place passing the alley by the sea (comming from ferry turn left) and going always straight by the sea.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen

The Island of Aero, reachable only by ferry from Fyn, is somewhat a pearl in the Danish archipelago. I toured part of it by bike on a day trip from Svendborg and I regret the little time I had. The......

Can't say enough good things about ?r?!

I visited ?r? sometime around May before the peak vacation time, and the island was idyllic. Understated, quaint, and seductive, it is a great place to relax and see some charming little towns. This...
