There is a great selfservice restaurant INside the park of Egeskov castle and you can get there only after having passed the ticket-booth.
There is a Lunch-buffet for 115 DKR per adult and 55 DKR per child between 12.00noon and 05.00pm with meat-dishes, potatoes, a salad-bar and bread, (see it in my 4th photo!) but my favorite choice was their Smörebröd !
You are as well welcome to bring your own picnic basket with you to Egeskov, according to the info on their web-page !!!
Favorite Dish: They always have a great selection of Smörebröd - that is a typical kind of open sandwich like you will find them only in Danmark, see it in my last 2 photos:
Dark fullcorn-bread & butter with a slice of Danish liverpate on top plus some sausage, pickles and some jelly as well !

From what I saw and smelled, it looked and smelled fine.
Since our budget with 8 persons wasn't so big we decided to picknick.
Denmark is not a cheap country to visit, especially eating out all the time.

There's a cafe on the castle grounds or you can bring a picnic. The photo shows part of the menu.

There are places to eat inside castle park, price of which is expensive and more importantly choices are frustrtingly limited! So better pack your own meal and choose a place outside.
