Egeskov Slot / Egeskov is a perfect daytrip from Langeland and all of your family will like it : There is a giant tree-house with hanging rope bridges to get there, amaze and a small zoo. There is a car-museum of vintage-cars, fire-fighting-cars, airplanes, motorbikes, agricultural machines etc. My favorite was an old motorhome, that a danish painter had built before WW II in order to live and travel some years through Spain with his wife and 2 children. The motorhome had a double-roof against the hot sun in Spain, and it had a kitchen and even a real bathtub inside.
Egeskov castle is still inhabited by the family of Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurig-Bille and had been in posession of his family for more than 200 years now.
The wide park of Egeskov slot is open to the public. You have to pay an entrance fee of 60,- Danish Kronas and then you can see all museums there and the deer-park, a huge tree-house and a baroque garden-labyrinth.
Egeskov castle and museums are open from April to September
from 10.00 a.m. till 05.00 p.m.
in july even untill 08.00 p.m.
Entrance-fee to the park is 60,- DKR
extra-fee to visit the castle interior : 55,- DKR
