The morning we visited Carl Nielsen museum we bought some fruits from the flea market in front of the museum (pic 1) but the one in front of the Town Hall was even better with lots of cheeses, jam etc We had some great sandwiches there.
One day we bought some food from the open market in front of the Town Hall but most of the times we need something for a picnic on the park we used the Super Spar Market (pic 2) that is located at Norregade 63, just 3’ away from the train station.
alcohol is expensive in Denmark but even during the concert at the park we saw one evening we noticed that most of the locals carrying bags with beers that they have already bought from the market.

Not much shopping for us in Odense except some souvenirs near H.C.Andersen museum, you will see the store at the main pedestrian street a few meters away from the museums. They have all the typical souvenirs (magnets, cups, hats, bags etc) and a lot of books with Andersen’s fairytales, same books that we saw at museum’s gift shop (same prices also) where we liked many of them (good quality, colorful pages) but the prices were out of our budget…
Some nice souvenirs we also found at the Iron Age Village where the lady at the tickets creates necklace, bracelet etc (pic 3)

If you should be in need for a bike, a pair of rollerskates or just need to get your bike fixed while staying in Odense, Dansk Lager Salg is the right choice!
What to buy: You can find all kind of bikes here as well as extra quipment and clothing. The store offers a wide range of rollerskates and has a rollerhockey/icehockey department.
You'll also find stuff as floorball-equipment and skateboards!
What to pay: You won't discount-bikes here, but the quality is good and as for the hockey-equipment and rollerskates the price-level is fair and they often have speciel offers.

Bazar Fyn opened in march 2007 (oficially open on the 24 of march by H.R.H. prince Joachim) as the second of its kind in Denmark (the first Bazar Vest being located in the Gjellerup district in Århus.
There are 65 booths inside the bazar which is 7000 square meters large. Most of the shops are trading in middel eastern products, but there also fruit, and food vendors. There is also a big fruit/vegetable market and a square with numerous restaurants.
What to buy: The bakery offers quite good bread, and the prices on produce are among the best in town.
What to pay: Always less than the initial price... haggling is expected!

Odense is the major town on the island Fynen and makes for a nice shopping day. You should certainly be able to find a gift to take home. I saw many fashion shops, bookstores, chocolate shops, liquor stores, etc. There's a pedestrian area (main shopping street is Vestergade.

Superbrugsen is part of the national Brugsen chain, which is one of the middelrange supermarkets, meaning that the price level here is above that found in discount supermarkets. However the variety of goods is also bigger, and the standard generally higher. The shop is located at the intersection between Vestergade and Kongensgade (approx 30 meters west of the intersection to be precise)
Opening hours are quite extensive (in danish standards): mon-fri 10-22, saturday 10-17 and sometimes also opened sundays.
What to buy: Most daily commodities can be bought here

This is not just one shop but more like an indoor city of shopping-streets. This huge shopping-center is one of the absolye biggest in Denmark...maybe even in Scandinavia!
Here you'll find 125 different shops/restaurants that offers everything from sports-equipment to cheese! There is also a big cinema as well as different events going on at the center square liek concerts and kids-theatre.
There is lots of free parking-space around the center and it's a good place to go shopping if the weather isn't nice enough to take a walk in the streets of the center city.
What to buy: As written....all kinds of things can be found here, like:
Clothes for kids, men and women (many different brands)

Sporting goods

And much more...
What to pay: As there is 125 different shops, it's possible to find stuff at every price-level...
