Tranekær Slot is an interesting castle in the northern part of the island of Langeland and a great fullday-trip from Odense.

Tranakær was not open at the time I visted but you could stroll the grounds for a fee. There is also a small museum across the road detailing the history of the castle and area, as well as a souvenier...
