Køge There are numerous historic buildings in the well preserved centre of Køge, a city in southern Sjælland dating back to 1288.

Changing of the Guard Copenhagen The guard at the Queen's Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen takes place at noon. In contrast to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace in London, the public are allowed a close view of the event.

Roskilde Domkirke and market The Domkirke in Roskilde on Sjaelland in Denmark dates back to 1170 when Roskilde was the capital of Denmark. Thirty seven Danish kings and queens are buried in spectacularly embellished marble tombs inside the cathedral. On Saturday mornings a lively fruit and vegetable market is held in the nearby square.

The Grand Manor at Ledreborg Built by Count Johan Ludvig Holstein in 1739 and home to the Holstein-Ledreborg family, this grand manor house near Roskilde on Sjaelland has changed little over the years. The garden is a bit run down but the interior of the house retains is glory.
