Gay & Lesbian, Copenhagen
amigo bar is a gay karaooke bar that has been around for many years.
it's not just a gay bar but a place for everyone who likes to hear good karaooke and party all night long.
it's probaply only one third of the clientele that are gay these days because everyone have started to realise that some of the best performers are in the gay crowd.
i have been coming there myself for years eventhough i'm not gay and i love the atmosphere there.
we even had a vt meeting there once.
Dress Code: everything goes.
It is a very cosy and laid back 2 floor café in the heart of Copenhagen. It is a popular and famous meeting place for gay and lesbian people. You’ll get the latest information about events, discos and other information you could possibly need for a good night out! The place also serves good bistro-style food.
Dress Code: casual
Masken is a small gay pub in the "gay district" of Copenhagen - though it's not tremendously "dense", there are other gay and lesbian establishments nearby. This is where I came to watch the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest - a good choice, as the patrons here were involved and appreciative. Masken has two floors, both intimate - "hygge" in the Danish sense. They seem to have some of the special theme nights that gay bars around the world feature, but for the most part it struck me as a comfortable and friendly "local".
Dress Code: neither dress-up or dress-down
Gay Club, big place, full of people. Playing nice dance music, everybody there seemed to be in a good mood and happy. People of all ages, and mixed sexes.
Dress Code: Not a special dress code, just some night clubbing clothes. I guess anything is fine for this place
Masken or "The Mask" is a rainbow-flag bar, but don't let that put you off! It has a friendly atmosphere and it will immediately make you feel at home. The bartender and the guests are friendly and it's all about hanging out and having fun. They might invite you to join their conversation or take part in a game of dice so it's up to you to join in! There's a more quiet area downstairs which is also very good fun.
Masken Bar is a bar mostly crowded by younger guests but I didn't feel unwelcome or too old there :-) Its location is only a few minutes walkingTown Hall Square and the pedestrian street, Str?get.
