Tivoli at night is a chance to see everything in one place: restaurants, bars, live music, fair amusements, etc.
It's not cheap though, and not very advisable if you like to go out to quiet places. But it shows some impressive views and neon's.

I thought it would be nice to walk around Tivoli at night and see the lights and hear the music. And there WAS music - there was a group playing in a bandstand. Unfortunately, even though it was June, the weather was rainy and cold. So we didn't sit and listen to the music very long.

The century old amusement park of Tivoli right in the centre of town opens for Christmas from mid November til end of December - during this time in addition to the regular rides and amusements the Christmas theme with all out decorations of lights and colour shows give it that something special.
I was hoping for snow to add to the gloss but afraid not - just the cold weather! but it was still a nice event to get to! With a large area to roam around to see through the evening until closing time at 11pm though for the first 3 Fridays in December its open until midnight.

The Daemon is a double-looped rollercoaster in Tivoli Gardens. Perhaps one of the reasons why it is so cool at night is because of the thousands of little multi-colored lights found everywhere inside of this beautiful park. The lines are surprisingly short and the ride is quite awesome!
Dress Code: No loose objects.

Look at this photo and you'll understand why I say that you have to see Tivoli at least once by night! Tell me, how can not be enchanted when you stand admist 100,000 colored lanterns as it illuminates the Chinese pagoda and the main fountain? It gets even more magical on Wed and Saturday evenings when fireworks explode in the sky at night*.

Honestly, why folks visit this place in the morning is still a mystery to me. I would rather visit this place at night when it's awashed with thousands of enchanting fairy lights and swill øl in one of their many beer gardens. Go there at about sunset and experience the magic when thousands of green, yellow, and purple lights start to twinkle as evening descends. If you can , find the beautiful nimb building ( see photo ) and stand in front of it when 3.953 light bulbs come to life!

Right in the heart of downtown Copenhagen-an amusement park that has fireworks nightly, some decent rides and live entertainment. Great place to hang out.
Dress Code: Be comfortable-it's an amusement park after all.

These were some of my granddaughter's photos of the lights in Tivoli at night. Unfortunately it was a cold rainy June.
