On almost every corner and in every square in Copenhagen there is a Street Vendor selling Hot Dogs, the Danes seem quite obsessed by them as its seems to be the National quick bite. The Hot Dogs come in a variety of sizes from big and fat to small and long each with its own name.Always served with a bun with lashings of ketchup and mustard in a cardboard tray,i had two on our stay here. The Dogs are quite cheap ranging from a small one at 2DK to the biggest at about 4.50DK.
Favorite Dish: The Wienerpols,a long thin sausage very tasty and filled a gap until lunch.

The hot dog stands is just something you have to try and it is dead cheap as well. They have great selections of sausages. Ask the seller for his favourite and go for the same one.
Favorite Dish: My favourite is the one with the bacon around it with all the trimmings:)

On a shoe-string in Denmark and feeling hungry? Fear not, read bpacker's quirky tips and fill your tummy
Ok, so this isn't exactly health food but the fat red and juicy "Pølse" (Sausage) is a joy to eat with "brød" (bread) . You'll find these sold in "Pølsevogn" (Sausage stand) all over the city . These delicious things are eaten hot, with mustard and crispy onions. Ask for the "Fransk", a hotdog with a really skinny bun if you mind the carbs.

Din t expect to see in Copenhagen so many customers for hotdog.
But for the number of them in the streets, there must have customers for them all

There are fine dining in Copenhagen but if you're on a budget or if your mouth is itching for something, then look out for PØLSEVOGN - 'sausage cart' You'll be able to find these 'pølsevogn' practically everywhere. It's cheap and rather tasty. They have different types of hotdogs: regular ones, French (in a baguette), grilled and/or with your choice of condiment
