Ristorante Italiano, Copenhagen

It is a very nice location. Like the name says it's a authentical Italian restaurant with a nice service. On a nice sunny day you can sit outside, and maybe if it is not so sunny, restaurant provides blankets to cover.

Favorite Dish: This restaurant is probably little bit more expensive than other Italian restaurants but they do have mid-day offers until 4pm - 99kr for selection pizzas. We wanted to try real Italian pizza in Denmark and we were not disappointed, we liked the garlic oil exceptionally much as it had much of mozarella cheese in it :)

I stumbled onto this restaurant whilst taking a walk along the Strøget area of Copenhagen. It is one block along from Strøget near Gammeltorv.

The interior has rustic brick walls decorated with motives from Italy and bedecked with Italian wine bottles, dark tile floors and traditional wooden beams. The kitchen prepares everything Italian: bread, pasta and ice cream, all of which are homemade. The menu has a wide variety of pasta, pizza, meat and fish specialties.

The restaurant was opened in 1952 and was the first of its kind in Copenhagen.

The restaurant is open 11:00 to 24:00 daily.

Favorite Dish: The Ravioli alla Genovese was excellent. There is an ample lunchtime menu and extensive dinner menu to choose from.

Bread and olives are served, complimentary, on seating.

Brilliant little patio and fun staff. We drank lots of beer and ate like kings.

Favorite Dish: The pizza was great. I don't know what it is about the Italians but I can't get enough of them. ;) (Their food) YUM! Every counrty I visit I hit and Italian restaurant.
