Interesting location, hidden in an old building within christiana.
Relaxing interior, old timber beams within brick exterior.
Excellent menu with interesting choices, food well prepared and superbly cooked - good range of beers/wine etc.
Favorite Dish:
Salmon and swordfish starter, unusal combination but went well together - superb
This restaurant was difficult to find, as it's hidden in a building that looks like it's condemned, and you have to go upstairs, and then through doors that are covered with graffiti, in order to find it. But once you're there, the restaurant has a cozy feel despite its fairly large open area. The food is very good, with traditional Danish dishes as well as those with a more contemporary flair. With its location in Christiania and its good quality food, it's a memorable dining experience.
Favorite Dish:
I loved the smoked salmon appetizer.
Well to be honest.... it was closed when we arrived there about 18.00H. The sign and the website clearly indicated that it should be open at that time and day so it will always be a mystery why it wasn't open. Just a sign on the door like "Sorry, we closed due to......" would have made it less disappointing I guess. A quick survey under fellow tourists arriving at the same time learned that disappointment was the general feeling.
We were recommended this restaurant here on VT.
"They have excellent food - some combinations that you would never think of, and that are thrilling for your taste buds"
Our view
Once you´ve penetrated the graffiti covered staircase the restaurant itself comes as a bit of a surprise. It seems totally out of character and would fit better in far more regenerated building.
Very enjoyable. Not very busy the Sunday night we were there, but we had a great evening. Our only ´complaint´ was the portion sizes. Even our couple of rugby player types found them too large! But the food itself was excellent quality.
Favorite Dish:
The six of us tried most things on the menu as far as we could. The menu changes daily, so giving you favourite dishes is a little pointless!
Vegetarian Restaurant in Christiana. Don't worry I thin its the only one there so you won't miss it.
You eat out in the garden or inside. Its small but busy. Very cute and dam yummy.
Favorite Dish:
You get a plate full of your choice of vegy dishes which blew me away with the amount of flavour. It tasted too good to be healthy!!
