    Restaurant Viva is situated on a houseboat in Copenhagen harbour.
    The view is superb and so is the food.
    When i was there with 2 vt friends we had a waiter who was very friendly and took his time to explain everything about the food we had.
    The food there is danish, when danish food is a little more elegant than the traditional casual danish food.
    The price is very fair for a fine dining place and i will certainly return there soon again.

    Favorite Dish: When i was there i had weevers which is a fish we have in Denmark, but it´s not common to eat it as it is partly poisonos, but if prepared right then it is very tasty.
    I had never tried that kind afish before, so i went for that and i was suprised how good it was.

    For desert i chose a cheese plate which was also very good.

    Viva: Boat Restaurant with good view

    After touring Copenhagen, Helsingør and Helsingborg with VT'ers Friday and Saturday I finally had the last dinner with Claus (Cachaceiro) and Hansi (Waalewiener) on this boat. We wanted to find a special place which were not too expencive (Claus had checked the a la carte menu). None of us had tried this place before, but we were surprised positively.

    We had a table at the windows and had a great view to Copenhagen harbour - we saw at least 5-10 rowing boats passing close by our windows while sitting there. We had very good service this place, and the waiter described our food in all details.

    Favorite Dish: I had
    fillet of veal with braised veal chest, tomato chutney,
    eggplant puré and veal sauce with green beans 120 DKK + a large beer ~ 35 US$

    Claus had panfried weever which is poisonous (if you step on it at the beach) but he enjoyed to eat it.

    Dive into Viva's sea of creative hors d'ouvres aboard a stylish ship.
    Near Langebro, in a newly remodelled barge with a view over to The Black Diamond (The Royal Library), the people who were behind VB Square and Aura present a modern restaurant and lounge. The restaurant is kept light and simple and seats 75 guests (danish design).
    During summer season, the sun deck seats 50 people and another 100 people on the wharf, where you may enjoy the warm evenings with cocktails and DJ music in the company of friends.

    Paulo Guimaraes (also known from tv) is the chef in a kitchen where the inspiration to the basic, yet very creative cuisine is inspired by the Mediterranean area in particular. Untraditionally, the evening menu consists only of hors d'ouvres. The idea is to explore several of the many delicate hors d'ouvres, which include Norway lobster, shrimps, mussels and oysters. The lunch menu includes a delicious selection of various salads, fish, soups and Danish classics.

    Restaurant Viva provides creative quality cooking, cosy ambiance and a familiar service. A visit to the designer barge invites you to a setting with unique sense impressions that vary depending on the mood of the season and the sea.

    Portions a small, however one is enough for me.

    Favorite Dish: My boyfriend crave the filet of beef with two kinds of jerusalem artichokes, braised tail of veal and red wine sauce.

    As a vegetarian Id have the pan fried tomato risotto with avocado, tomato and mozzarella - yummi! The bread served with the meal is also excellent. At the moment that is the only vegetarian choice on board. Ive had luck asking for an additional vegetarian dish.

    As for wine, I believe that all on the list are excellent! The cheepest you get is 50 kr per glass.

    This is a restaurant youll never forget!
