This is a unique museum! It holds many collections and lots of information about the Guiness World Records........ including a replica of the world's tallest man, the largest collection of haircombs, and a jarful of the biggest known collection of bellybutton fluff!!! (uuurgghhh!!!)
When I visited, some collections were in a need of better maintenance and I hope they have since been updated. The museum will definitely attract children though!!
This is another museum that is worth a visit for adults and kids. It's packed with exhibitions of various world records from around the world. These exhibitions give an excellent idea of what people have acheived.
The Guinness World of Records Museum in Copenhagen is one of the smaller museums in Copenhagen.
I would suggest that if you have a limited time that you would skip this museum but if the weather is really bad or if they have plenty of time, don't miss this museum.
This museum will give you some amazing impressions. You can for example see the worlds most tallest man, the world's heaviest man or you can see and compare your strengh of your fist.
I cost 43/68/85 DKK but you can combine it with 3 related museums and get discount (The Mystic Exploratorie, Ripley's Believe It or Not! and Hans Christian Andersen's Wonderful World)
see prices at this link: http://www.topattractions.dk/Sider/Priser_UK.html
Here you'll see over 500 outstanding World records and will be able even to try something on your own and try to reach World's record:) Try what it feels like to drive 500 km/h. Mmmm... that was too fast for me :-) Test yourself against the world's best fighter (interesting to try). It's really worth a visit!
This museum illustrates world records in 13 different categories. Among the 13 categories are sport, people, constructions and danish records.
The museum is situated on the main shopping street, Strøget and is especially interesting for children.
Here you can see the world's tallest man at the entrance to the Musuem.
Walking through Stroget, Europe´s longest shopping street, you can´t miss this museum. It´s nice to compare yourself with the longest and smallest persons on earth. The smallest lady on earth ever come from my birthplace Ossendrecht. She is called Paulientje and was a famous dancer.
You can see many peculiar world records here. On the picture it's me with the highest man in the world. He was 2,74 meters high.
Between many others, you can check how it feels to drive 500 km/h, see the biggest 1,5 kg apple or test yourself against the world's best fighter.
This museum is devoted to displaying records. A bit childish for my taste. There is only one way around the museum, and you will see why when you get there. Some of the fun is lost, going the other way.
Where I would not recommend you to go is a World Guinness Museum. It’s my humble opinion that it doesn’t worth to pay for the visit so much (99 DKK). But here you can find some interesting records as well, look at pictures.
