I have always wanted to cruise along Strøget, but unfortunately we don't have the time that day.

    Well, maybe next time.

    lighthouse boat

A lighthouse boat is moored in the harbour, its colour matching the shades of the facades of the city.
This is the first time I have ever heard of a lighthouse boat. Interesting isn't it?

  • Sit down and relax at the Nyhavn

by pllnrds Updated Dec 17, 2004

It is a place to sit down and have a beer. There are many restaurants and terraces overlooking the water and the good looking houses at the other side

    Colored houses by Nyhavn

Some colorful buildings along Nyhavn, also some of the oldest in Copenhegen which becomes nyhavn house when you buy them as little souvenir. Tuborg truck is unloading at Nyhavn restaurants.

Nyhavn canal, dug in the late 17th century to allow traders to bring their wares into the centre of the city of Copenhagen.
The colourful houses on both sides of the canal looks magnificent.

You have to visit Nyhavn! It is really beautiful along there and we got some great photos... The shops (which I think were once the homes of fisherman) are painted bright colours and all look cute!

Take a seat somewhere here at Nyhavn - at a restaurant or cafe, on the wall of the canal, anywhere. Just sit down, relax, and watch the world walk by.
