Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen: Amusement Park

Tivoli Gardens is located just within a stone's throw from Rådhuspladsen and the pedestrian street Stroget right in the heart of the city of Copenhagen. It is one of the favourite nightspots in the city for locals and foreign tourists. It opened its door to the public in the middle of the19th century. Thus it is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world.Tivoli Gardens was established by Georg Carstensen and it has a total area of approximately 80,000 square meters. There are approximately 25 thrill rides for both young and old. One of its masterpieces is the old wooden roller coaster known as the Mountain Track by the locals. John Bull: English pub

by marielexoteria

John Bull Pub has a great selection of beer and some whiskey. They also have some big TV screens where they show sports. Live music sometimes. Good music and nice staff.A funny thing that happened to me at John Bull: I went with 2 friends there and went to the bar to order another beer (you order and pay right away). I saw these 4-5 guys playing something and drinking shots and I started paying attention to what they were playing, until one acknowledged my presence and so I say "Hi, what are you doing?". "Playing dice", one of them says - "How do you play it?", I then ask. He says "however you want to". We smiled to one another and I returned to my table. About 5 minutes later, the bartender comes with a shot, a dice and a plastic dark glass and says "the guys sent this to you and how you play it is that if you get a 5 or higher you have to drink the shot in one sip, otherwise you drink...

All night.: Dancing

by benazer

I dont know if they have dancing places still in copenhagen, but when i was there long time ago one evening i decided to go dancing, enjoyed myself very much, when music stops you have to take the lady back to where she was sitting,I thought then very beautifull the Danish girls,I chose one and we started dancing and talking almost everyone speaks English in Denmark, she told me she is from sweeden,I did not mind she was very beautifull,we become good friends. Next day she showed me all of Copenhagen I would not have wisited if i did not meet her, maybe it was her beauty which made Copenhagen seem so lovely I do not know... Can not remember..sorry..

Celebrate New Year's Eve in the dunes.... but be careful not to light the thatched roofs with your fireworks :-) Strange silver whigs. Apart from that nothing (in sauna and in the North Sea for the New Year swim just after midnight)

The City of Aalborg.Three colleges, lots of young cool, people. All ages welcomed and locals are very friendly.Small city, all the pubs down one street.(Europeans are smart!)Beautiful around Christmas. Denmark brews a special Christmas beer. Warm, respectable. No shorts or t-shirts. Jeans are fine.

DUBLINER: PUB/CLUB

by royston1

As always, you fing the Irish Pub, and with this one, i would go and have a look. A pub that comes to life late, with live music, and plenty of dancing on the table. The locals love it, so its a good mix of locals, and visiting tourists.. No dress code whatsoever, well maybe not naked, although if you are planning to go naked. Please be kind enough to let me know when you are visiting.....ha ha

There are 3 major discotheques in the same street as the Hard Rock café in Copenhagen. I preferred the Baron and the Baroness. They are open on friday, saturday and sunday, but i only went on saturday. This day there were a lot of people going out.Drinks are not so expensive, and the people are very nice. Much pretty girls too ;-) no jeans!
