Just newly opened sushi restaurant in the middle of Frederikshavn. Karma is a very nice place, designed in a classic japanese style. I had already eaten when we got there, but my photographer is still saying "mmm... ah... mmm... so good" the day after he had the sushi plate, so I'm pretty sure he thought it was a really good.
I had two beers (yes, Tuborg beer taste much better while in Denmark!) and "the dessert of the day" which was ice cream sourbet. Yummy! My friend tried the local japanese beer, and was very pleased with that too, saying it tasted like San Miguel, although more sweet.
Good service, fair prices, open until 11pm. Also got some good tips from the waiter where to head off for some nightlife.
Well, I only had the dessert, but according to my photographer the sushi was even better! He paid 168 DKR (16,5 euro) for the plate with sushi, and that was a full one. Beer costed 22 DKR, and the dessert was 58 DKR. Their specialities are fish dishes and the “Frederikshavner” is quite famous. It is a large fried plaice served with white potatoes and butter sauce. There are also light lunch dishes and steaks on the menu.
I had a Stjerneskud (Shooting Star) and it was absolutely fantastic. A Shooting Star is three fillets of plaice topped by shrimp, dill and dressing.
