by SwedeSarah Why not try the famous Danish hot dog, the 'pölse' at a 'pölsevogn'? It's much cheaper than going to a restaurant, definitely. Although these hot dogs can cost more than ones from other countries. The price was about double as much than for a hot dog in Sweden.
Pölse! Although I can't say it's my personal fave as I don't eat much meat. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: The local highstreet or other places where many people go to. ;)

La Mexicana Algade 22E, 4760 Vordingborg Tlf. 55 37 32 32 During our stay in Vordingborg we kept coming back here, because of the excellent service and the fact that it's the most family friendly restaurant I've ever been to. The children's menu included real Mexican dishes (not only the usual 1/4 chicken.) There was a safe playing area outside, so the children felt free to come and go as well as an inside playing room. by maritagnes One of the numerous restaurants you can find in back yards as you walk in Danish streets. This nice 'Kro' belonged to one of the oldest medieval houses in Köge, and had a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

While there MUST be many great restaurants in Denmark, I missed the experience. Since Denmark was a bit more expensive than other places in Europe, I was on a tighter budget and basically got groceries to make picnics from the day-to-day. This proved to be very satisfying. Well, we came quite late in the evening, it was 21.00 and the kitchen was closed, but the nice guy at the bar, was willing to serve as 2 huge pizzas anyway and with a big smile on his face. We must have looked like lost tourist in the middle of the winter season. LOL
