One of the first things I do when I'm crossing the Danish border is searching for a hot dog kiosk. They are the best hot dogs in the world!! If you want to wake me up in the middle of the night be sure it's for eating hot dogs. If it's for something else you might be having a problem soon ;-)
They make different kinds of hot dogs, but my favourite one is the one with the boiled sausage and all the ingredients. This means ketchup, remoulade sause, mustard, raw onions, fried onions and sour cucumber silces. It's a nice cafe visited by young people on their way to or from the city centre - or living nearby. It's on the way from central Copenhagen to the student/trendy neighborhood of Nørrebro. You'll get good bargains on sadwiches, pastas and thai style food. Now, I mentioned Vesuvio Restaurant in Cph as a great pasta place. Well Kunst og Spaghetti (Art and Spaguetti) deserves a tight 2nd place!
While the restaurant itself is a tad small for my taste, I still give it a chance to go and enjoy great freshly made pasta. The whole place is decorated with sculptures, paintings and little decoration figurines that they sell. You can see their price tag and buy it right then and there if you fancy it.
Good prices and quite centric.
Oh, try one of their sorbets as they come inside the fruit, for ex. I had their orange sorbet and it came in an orange.

Romeo & Julie is great for lunch. They have a pizza and pasta all you can eat buffet. They make the pasta by the order.

This restaurant is one of the few in that actually makes Danish food. And if you are in Aaarhus you should try it. They serve a lot of different old style courses. And the environment is kind of special. Even though you have to expect anything else than a modern place to eat.
