The title says it all. Nadia's bagels won't disappoint you. They prepare the bagel on order so you get it fresh and if you're lucky sometimes even with a "just baked" bun taken from the oven while you wait. The bagel of my preference is #14 on their menu: a bagel with prosciutto, mozzarella slices, pesto, ruccola lettuce, tomato and cream cheese.
Jensen's Bøfhus is a great price and great tasting food. You can buy lunch for 50 kroner and it is too much food to eat. This restraunt is in two places in Odense. The first place is in the city and the other is in the Rosengård centre. I ate here many times with my friends after school or if we had a break during school. They serve typical danish meals of potatoes, bøf(beef) and sauce. It is my favorite, they also serve other food such as hambugers. The best is the ice cream desert you can buy. It cost 20 kroner for the ice cream and you can get as much as you want with lots of toppings.
Take away food is much cheaper than restaurants.Take away places are often owned by emmigrant families who are ready to work long hours and have a few kids to help out and that makes the them very competetive.Ethnic take aways used to be a big city thing, but these days you see them in most small towns too, so you don´t need to starve even if you are on a budget. If you want danish food eat fish.it's one the things that danes really know how to prepare.
With a determination to create a Nordic modern kitchen the Copenhagen restaurant Norma have reached the attention of the gastronomic circles and are at present valued as one of the ultimately best in the world. With this status you can imagine that it has a price tag and you have to reserve a table sometime in advance (that is more mounts ahead) but go to there webpage.
For value munching that is great fun, with good service, you have to go to Riz-Raz!Grand vegetarian buffet: lunch here is great value as a buffet for DKK59.The selection is vast, various salads, vegetables, tomato & marscopone pasta, spinach & ricotta lasagne, rice, chickpeas, and pizza!!There are outside tables & a courtyard too!Decor is warm & colourful.In the evenings blankets & outdoor heaters available. The lasagne, and pasta with tasty sauce :)
Hard Rock is my favourite around the world! Groovy staff, nice food and amazing atmosphere is what lures me inside this place! Hard rock in Copenhagen is not that different from what I've seen in Warsaw, Dublin or Philadelfia. Great interiors, delicous Mojitos and a perfect dish for two the Combo! It is rather expensive but worth dropping by at least once. And of course check their store for some souvenirs. Hot chicken wings... or the Combo Dish (for two!).
I don't remember the name of this place but it is the only restaurant directly on the Marina in Saeby. The food there is tasty and, when comes to Danish standards; cheap. They offer delicious and fresh fish and other sea food. This is nothing fancy, just a fish and chips diner on the pier but the ambiance is great and the food even better! So if you are in Saeby, drop by and bon apetit! Try fish and chips of course!
I asked around looking for a great Scandinavian meal and was told by many that Noma the only Michelin 2 star in Denmark was the best. So, I went for lunch and was very happy with my choice. They call the food "A Nordic Sensation” and I discovered from reading the walls that it was rated the 3rd best place dinning experience in the world. Anyway it was good for sure and the Chef René Redzepis produced some fine Scandinavian food for this VTer. Noma has a beautiful location. I had "grilled lam" Wild herbs and fjord vegetables along with Rhubarb and beets meringue and hip rose. all which was presented very nicely -- a very classy place.
A "French" hot dog is the classic hot dog we know and love (or at least I do hehe), but instead of having the bread cut on the side, so that the sausage is in and sort of on top of the hot dog, this kind of hot dog uses a bread that has one hole. First, if you want dressing, they fill the bread (not entirely) with it and then they press the sausage down into the hole. The day I went to Legoland, by lunch time I was too hungry to sit on one of their restaurants and wait for my order to be done so I chose to have a good "French" hot dog with juice (or coca cola, can't remember).
The best Mexican food place in Aalborg. They made my tacos the way I make them at home. Their food presentation is excellent and colorful. My companion had one of their Italian dishes and was very satisfied.Not only the food and the environment is great (it's good to be able to talk without shouting), but also their prices. Choose a 2-course meal for 99DKK or a 3-course meal for 109DKK, and then combine between 11 appetizers, 11 main courses and 8 desserts. The staff is very friendly and organized. I mean, they kindly (but firmly) told someone to please wait at the door to be seated because he (and his family) came in as if it was their home. You don't need to book a table but better safe than sorry. Casual/leisure clothing.The pictures on this tip are taken with my mobile phone so they don't have the best quality. I recommend their Taco de carne with Corona.
