Legoredo Town was some fun as well, including a canoe-ride with some big splashes, as you can see in my 4th photo, there are bisons standing in the grass, perfectely made of Lego-bricks and there is a lot more, when you really have time to search for all of the fine details.

The Yellow Submarine in Atlantis is another attraction and a great adventure for children as well as for adults. At first you see some introduction in a movie and then you can watch real fishes swimming around divers and the yellow submarine, made totally of Lego-bricks.
There are sharks and barracudas and many other fishes and there is a seperate tank with Giant Japanese Spider Crabs (my last 2 photos)

Mann's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood is another small-scale model in Legoland and there is even a Hollywood-scenery where you can watch how they make a sience-fiction-movie there, a lot of people on the set, everybody is moving, there is a background-sound and you can see all the cameras, light-equipment etc. just like on a read movie-set. (my 2nd and 3rd picture)
There is a large area as well for science-fiction spaceship-models from starwars or whatever, all made by Lego-bricks and able to move around a bit (my last 2 photos here)

The old Hanse-town of Bergen in Norway is another highlight of your walk through Legoland. See some of the ships sailing to and fro, see the famous 3-mast-sailingship docked on the pier and in my last picture you can see the funicular to the Floyen, a mountain-top high above Bergen with a great view of the city and the fjords around of it.

The lovely landscapes around the Götha-canal in Sweden is another scenery that you will enjoy when walking through Legoland. Some of these small-scale-ships will make a journey through the canal with several locks that will open and close automatically and letting the ships down lock by lock in order to continue their cruise, that was really great fun to watch. In reality cruising the Götha-canal is a really great adventure and on my travel-wishlist, but such a cruise is quite expensive and so I always postponed it.

I really enjoyed the Lego-zoo very much with many wild animals built only by Lego-bricks and many of them were really perfectely made and gave me the impression of beeing there in the jungle, or at least some kind of.

For Amsterdam and the Netherlands there is quite a large area reserved in Legoland showing great houses and many canals and ships running through, while the draw-bridges will open automatically, there is always someting moving and it is a lot of fun to search for the many fine details.

Nyhavn is the old port of Copenhagen, where you will find the best restaurants and cafes nowadays and here in Legoland you will see this great part of Kopenhagen's old town in a large area including the typical old sailingboats and the canals.
In my 4th picture: Amalienborg palace in the very centre of Kopenhagen
and in my last picture: Rosenborg Castle

Ribe is the oldest town of Danmark and it is just about 1 hour to drive to from Billund. I have been there many times and so I was glad to see a small-scale-model of it in Legoland as well.
The church looks a bit oversized for such a small town and there are lots of great halftimbered houses as well in Ribe.
Even the storks are shown there (take a look at my last photo) , lots of storks used to live in Ribe each summer, when I was a child, but on recents visits I hardly ever saw any stork at all.

At first I came to Billund only in order to make a photo of the entrance of Legoland BUT I am glad I also spent about half a day there. Legoland took me back to the best part of my childhood AND gave me travel-ideas as well for future travels !
The Dybbel-Windmill is a good example of a really interesting windmill and the museum of the closeby battlefield of 1864 - read more about it on my Dybbøl-page
I have never heared about that mill before, nor about the battle, but as soon as I saw it in Legoland I decided to go there at the end of my journey, before returning to Germany.
