In the backside of Legoland you will find this Monorail from where you will have a great view of all the attractions from above. I did not take it because this backpart of the park is more an adventure-park for children.

Driving to Billund takes maybe a bit more time than you have calculated, because the roads are mostly not very good and will go through many villages, where the speed is limited to 50km/h.
Once that you are in Billund, you can park your car at the giant, official car-parking of Legoland for a daily fee of 50 DKR, that is equivalent to ca. 7 Euros (my main photo) From there it is an easy walk of just a few steps to the main-entrance of Legoland.
I simply wanted to take a photo of the entrance and that is why I parked my car in the village, parking is free of charge there, BUT you have to walk to Legoland about 800 meters maybe and will pass by Hotel Legoland and the Lego-factory with the giant Lego-bricks in front.
Unfortunately parking of a motorhome is
forbidden on these parking-lots at night !

This small train is mainly for smaller children, with their parents of course, but what I found great is that even the signal-signs for this train were totally made by Lego-bricks (my 1st and last picture) this train takes you through a large part of the park and you dont need to pay any ticket extra for it, but you just queue up, take a seat and wait for the next departure !

Billund has an oversized airport, when you considder the size of this rather small village. But I saw big airplanes starting and landing every 20 or 30 minutes, Lufthansa was among them, but I dont remember any other airlines-names.
While the airport is really very close to Legoland, the entrances to both places are in quite a distance to drive to each other, I heared the distance is about 2,6 km.
In my picture: the small-scale airport in Legoland and some great airplanes, including the Concorde.

If you don't want to pay for your car parking while visiting Legoland, you can leave it in the parking area not close to the gates, but more distant. You will have to walk maybe 10min, but save some money (if it is important to you).

LEGOLAND is situated in the middle of Jutland, on the mainland of Denmark.
By Car LEGOLAND is easily reached via the E45. There are bus connections to Billund from many cities, and the buses stops right outside LEGOLAND. Billund International Airport is not far from LEGOLAND, with direct connections to most of Europe - and the rest of the world via Copenhagen. Visit www.billund-airport.dk for further information and Danish Rail web-site , www.dsb.dk , for further information to arrive by train
