Favorite thing: The main square (as in the intro pic) is the place to be seen in and it is a great place on a sunny summers day as you can enjoy a beer, coffee or even a meal in one of the restaurants with tables outside. In this picture is also the tourist information in the brick building so yes, this really is the place where to get your bearings and meet people. Some restaurants double as night clubs too and there are more bars just around the corner in Skolegade. Hard to believe that the square was once in the outskirts of the city in the days when it only revolved around the harbour.

Favorite thing: Asked for a Danish drink at King George and got "Porno"- an aqua blue mix of vodka, cream and pineapple juice. Very, very nice and on the mild side. Try something authentically Danish!

Favorite thing: A little holiday island of the coast of Esbjerg, catch the ferry from Esbjerg.
Fondest memory: Get the bus to the beaches. Don't bother taking the car, it'll only get stuck in the sand.
