One of the most cheap coffees in Roskilde! We drunk a coffee for 10DKK, it’s a kiosk next to the huge jars opposite the train station.
They charge 10DKK for any warm drink (coffee, cappuccino, late, cacao, tea etc) They also serve sandwiches and other light meals so it’s ideal if you want something before you start exploring the city. There are some tables outside, it was a bright sunny day so we stood there for some minutes before we start explore the attractions of Roskilde.
It’s open Mondays to Friday 10.00-19.00, Saturday 11.00-16.00, Sunday 12.00-19.00
Alternative there are a lot of cafes around, especially at the pedestrians streets. Other cheap options in the city include a lot of kebap places

Located down a hallway in a building just off of Algade Street, this little pizza shop would not catch your eye. It looks like just any other discount, fast diner. But we were surprised when we were served our pizzas. The were rather large and are probably the cheapest I saw in Denmark. Starting price about 55DKK! They were quite tasty too!
Open 11am ~ 8pm. Closed Sundays.
Favorite Dish: Obviously, this is a pizza restaurant, but there are a couple other choices too.
The menu has about 20 different pizzas to choose from, everything from vegetarian to being overloaded with meats.

I've eaten at Bella Capri about 50 times and I've never been disapointed. Bella capri was the first pizzaria in Roskilde and have has more than 30 years of history. The owner and founder is italian and is still going strong.
The menu hasn't changed that much over the years but there are some new dishes which makes the pizza's more up to date.
Their prices are higher than usually but it is worth the money. There are all kinds of pizzas and pasta which ofcause are served fresh. There is no kebab, french fries og burgers - it is all about the pizza.

svogerslev kro is a danish inn with a good traditional danish kitchen.
it's a place that i would really recommend to foreign visitors if you are looking for an authntic setting and good quality danish food.
it's a little outside roskilde in the village svogerslev, but it's worth the effort to drive out there.
Favorite Dish: the beer i had from herslev bryghus :O)

You can go on a lunch cruise, a afternoon cruise or a dinner cruise while you have something to eat. If you are a little party you can book The Captain's Lounge, Saga Lounge or Panorama Lounge. Have a look at the website for schedules, menues and prices.

At the harbour of Roskilde you can buy Denmark's biggest ice cream. At least this is what the sign said.
The ice cream consists of 25 scobes of ice cream, 5 flødeboller (snow balls), softice, chokolate bar, whipped cream and jam.
The price is 200DKK, but then I don't think you have to eat anything the rest of the day.
Favorite Dish: I didn't try this ice cream, but there is a photo in the shop of a woman who is holding it, and it is huge.

Just north of the Viking hostel is a middle-eastern eatery that serves delicious Italian(?)!food. Don't know what is it about these Scandinavians, but they love Pizza more than anything else, it seems. So most middle-eastern immigrants over here would set up shop selling cheap pizzas and kebabs. They always make a delicious yet satisfying meal.

Favorite Dish: Pizza - Thin and crispy crust with generous toppings of meat, cheese and egg.
